Amazing architecture is definitely one of the high points of Minecraft, and this video is no exception.  vssdgames brings us a tour of a map based on a book he's working on, and the visuals are nothing shy of impressive.  Words don't do it justice - give it a look!

Digital Diamonds is an ongoing look at Minecraft-related videos that have been submitted to the Minecraft forum video section. We'll be selecting memorable videos and those resonating with the community to share with everyone on the front page.

Very cool.  I have a friend working on a fantasy novel series, but I doubt he'd have the patience for this.

PS: I hate to be that guy, but...what's the texture pack? :P

Looks awesome but...shouldn't the author be working on his book rather than recreating it in minecraft :P

Well, you could look at it this way: the book inspires the building BUT the building can inspire the book. Writes don't write every waking hour and being creative this way provides a very good way to stimulate the mind while still relating to his book and the story that accompanies it.

BTW... would love to get to explore this on my own. vssdgames, if you are reading these comments, how about a download link even if you are not done.

When will your book be out? It would be great to have the map and book be released at the same time - so I could read the book and explore your world all at once. No spoilers!
