“PARKOUR RUNNER”
http://www.minecraft...3100-downloads/
Gameplay: 6/10
The parkour was original and reminded me of Super Mario at times. The diamonds were hidden well (sarcasm intended).
But, when I died in the TNT running room, I died, and was res-pawned to a level or 2 ahead of me, thus losing all my diamonds. Was that supposed to happen?
Also, I think the use of checkpoints were a little OTT. And I missed the puzzle part of the map. Was searching for a door supposed to be a puzzle?
Aesthetics: 9/10
I did like the general look-and-feel of the map. It was colourful, it was a generally good map to noclip out of and fly through. To those reading: I played through twice. With and without the texture pack, and I do think it looks fine without it. But the clay was not subtle. I prefer when you have to have a descent look around each room to find the diamonds you all want. I would’ve preferred if there were just hidden chests tucked in the corner of the room.
Forum: 9/10
The forum was clear, neat, but had a few issues.
It was just the Leaderboards section. A spoiler would’ve suited, and it was a little grammatically incorrect.

This map brought parkour and puzzles in together perfectly, it had a decent amount of puzzles and a decent amount of parkour. not to much not to less. to add on to this map there was also comical moments in there, mainly when hes about to kill you
Challenge - 9 every obstacle was a challenge especially the parkour segments. if you fail at all on the parkour segments you have to restart at the beginning, (except on the grassy parkour when you find a checkpoint) i have failed numerous times on each parkour segment and i just kept trying to beat that one part that keeps making me fall. also at each challenge it is required to complete each challenge without cheating . for example, at the first challenge you have to break your boat in order to move on.
Unique-9 this map was very unique in man ways, 1. it is not just a parkour or just a puzzle it is both. 2.in the maze he gives you alot of redstone so you can remember where you been, it was very nice of him and it helped alot. 3. he hid clay very well so that you have to explore his map in order to find all diamond. 4. he used alot of elements such as ice, grass, obsidion, tnt, water, and glass panes in his challenges.
creativity- 8 he used his colors very well. every room was not the same as the last, whether he would change the color of wool or change it from logs to gold. it was never boring and i was anticipating to see what room is next.
redstone - 10 Hippy500 knew how to use redstone. there werre no bugs in any of his traps, and when i took a look on the outside of the map when i was done; i saw a whole lot of redstone, it seemed like hippy500 spent a bunch of time trying to set everything up perfectly, and like i said before he allowed you to use redstone to mark our place in the maze.

Your map is a perfect mix of puzzles and parkour. Every challenge is very different, which made your map quite fun to play! I loved the addition of diamonds, which made me thirsty for more. I ended up getting 28 diamonds which probably is far from all. The mechanics you made impressed me quite alot. Very nice done with the spawnpoint redstone system! One thing i found quite hard was the jumping from ladder to ladder. It might just be my lack of parkour skills, but I got quite frustrated when I almost made it and fell down about 50 times. So I ended up cheating my way up with ladders. In the hallway with TNT after I died, the sign told me to place a lever by the door, although this door blew up by a chain reaction after i triggered the first TNT with one very unprecise jump.
I can see you've invested quite a large amount of time into this map, which seems to be very well spent! The decoration is well made, but the place where you wrote your name on the wall had a wierd shape. You could make this place a tad cooler where we could have a better view of your name. (It truly deserves it!) The rest of the map was very nice shaped and decorated, especially the tree area. I loved your creativity, with the use of different blocks and a large variety of challenges.
Altogether I would say this map is a must play for a puzzle/parkour addict!
I will award your map «Parkour Runner» with a rating of 9!

Opening thoughts:
Not one review ago I griped on that most puzzle maps will look to a purposefully story to add weight, using some unknowable evil as your reason to keep pressing through the myriad of puzzles. Well now I would like to intorduce you to the other type of puzzle map. The type where the creator did not intend there to be some unknowable evil forcing you through, and yet dear reader as I stand here before you now (or sit here typing no where near you now [except for you of course Stan because I'm right outside your window]) I can say without a shadow of a doubt that there is a great evil lurking in this parkour map, the great evil known as... The Creator!!!
Visuals:
As I've said numerous times so far, in a puzzle map you need to have distinguishable colours for each of your rooms, so that they become as unique visually as they are in there puzzles, and in tha regard this map comes up trumps. every room has a new and unique visual style which all lend themselves quite nicely to the theme of the room.
[9/10]
Challenge:
Whilst I wouldn't call ths map keyboard breakingly hard... it does pose quite a challenge. As you may have guessed from the genre most of these maps are variations on the age old formula, jump from one block to the next but it does throw a couple of difficult mazes and brain teasers, all of which can get a tad annoying when you're have to trudge through them a third time because you forgot the button sequence. Otherwise it is hard enough to keep you going
[3.5/5]
Length:
Whilst I may have already hinted at there are alot of jump puzzles, and where as most maps would just copy paste there existing levels and just swap out the things our jumpig on and the room colour. This map seems to go the extra mile in maing eah of the challenges different, removing any of the unnecessary flab that is normally indicitive of puzzle maps. Thus the length of this map feels tight and perfectly streamlined.
[4.5/5]
Story:
Again it is just a framewor here, though I will say that I did enjoy th continued ribbing from the unseen 'map creator'. If anything it made me want to eep going just to see what hed do to me next.
Puzzle Variety:
The puzzles in this map are a ton of fun, the jumping and thinking puzzles can be a good laugh. Although as I said before the map does have a tedency to force you to backtrack if you missed a single lever or note which does break up the flow a tad. But to be fair I don't hold it against the game because half the time it was my own stupid fault
[9/10]
Mechanical Ingenuity:
(Hooray I get to use the other category!) So in this game one of the ways to move forward is through your death, yes sometimes you will be forced into a room where hundreds of TNT blocks will blow you from here over kingdom come, past neverland and into somewhere around Narnia. And just when your wondering what the heck you were supposed to do in the room, you reawaken to find yourself in a new room. This method of illing the player only to bring them back somewhere new is very clever and I hope the creator releases it as a tutorial because I would like to see it in more games. (although I will say I once out thought the trap and spent 10 minutes trying to work out what to do next.
Things That Need Improvement:
- The tnt rooms aren't a sure bet to kill people and probably need to lock you in about halfway down the corridor and then try to blow them up
Things That Neeed No-Improvement:
- The Level Design
- The Puzzles
Final Thoughts:
For a parkour game, hyou won;t get much better than this. It has a wide vaiety of puzzles and a wide variety of room styles ensuring that you will never get bored. But be mindful that hile the game seems to be pitting you against others to collect diamonds we are all truely fighting against the evil creator, whoes mocking laughter is no doubt ringing through the very core of your mind as you read this.

Didn't like:
- TNT rooms got me a little confused
Liked:
- Good desing
- Good puzzles
- Good redstone stuff (checked outside the map)
- Saving diamonds
A really good map. I didn't really saw any bugs/errors in the map. Nice puzzles. Good hidden chests. Oh talking about that:

Yeh I had a minimap mod on. Couldn't disable it. But it didn't ruin anything in the game/cheating.
Anyways. I expect more puzzles? It started with part 2 and that was only the lava room and the end.
Score:
It's a great map. I can't wait for it to be finished. Zerox56 Seal of Approval
