The mods have been fixed, I've also added an obsidian form of the paxel. Sorry for the huge wait. D:

NOTE: DO NOT USE THE CURRENT AUTO-PATCHER, IT IS BUGGED AND WILL NOT WORK WELL.

Here are my mods, you may download them separably and manually patch or download my auto patcher and select which mods you want added. My auto patcher and the instructions for both manual and automatic patch are located at the bottom.

I would like to thank Risugami for helping me out in the IRC and for creating the original mod loader, retep998 for drawing the ultimate fist, and 303 for the modified mod loader.

Is this mod compatible with "indestructible" tools?

I'm almost certain. I will update the "indestructible tools" mod soon either way.

I've added instructions. ;D

I'm probably just going to make a regular obsidian axe, with instant leaf "smashing".

Pixal
Pick +Axe + Shovel
I'd use that, would need a new texture though, maybe a power-glove or something.

Laterz.

I could, but that would be an overkill of an overkill. I'll probably make it, but leave it as an extra. I'm not sure how I'm going to fit all of that into a 16x16 region but I'll give it a try. :Sheep:

Anyway, awesome mod, really! Obsidian Ingots looks so nice, and the tools are amazing!
And I change the 'povel' sprite to a Spiked Mace - they smash pretty good mobs too!

If you make the new texture a power glove, could you make a 32x version as well, I use a 32x items.png so things look better, I'd appreciate a lot.

Thanks, laterz.

I've got to say it, I saw the Povel and couldn't stop laughing.
This is awesome, keep up the good work.

Creating an overlay as best as I can, and also I am going to try my hand at making some new icons; wish me luck.

Any chance of a non-instant version?

Say, somewhere in between iron and diamond in durability - 512 uses? - and faster at mining obsidian (8 seconds?), but otherwise on par with or slightly slower than diamond tools in speed.

It's such a PITA to try and find a constant supply of diamonds, so this would be a nice alternative (while still not being "the best," and still requiring work (in creating/mining obsidian).

(Edit: Obviously, this calls for obsidian armor too! :P)

Judging by the video, you have a pretty bad Ghast problem. You should make some obsidian arrows (hint hint) and defeat them with ease.

I'm going to add more features tomorrow, after school.

Here's what I'm planning on making:
[*:1uvj41ll]Regular obsidian tools, which will smash blocks at a rate lower then the diamond tools, but higher then iron ones. (Thanks Gord)
    [*:1uvj41ll]Axe
[*:1uvj41ll]Axe / Shovel / Pick (combined to make something else)
    [*:1uvj41ll]Sword
[*:1uvj41ll]Sword / Lava (combined to light mobs on fire once attacked)
    [*:1uvj41ll]Armor

If anyone could make the textures for the above (in both 16x16 and 32x32 dimensions) it would help me a lot.

Thanks.

"Eyes shine with the fires of evil"

May mobs tremble before your might, and those that follow in your footsteps.

Thank you!

One of my major annoyances with the game is the extreme discrepancy in speed and durability between iron tools and diamond tools. I don't disagree with it, I just never understood why something wasn't introduced to bridge the gap.

That's what this will do, finally. Awesome. :(
