i know this mod has already been done as jurrasicraft, but this is will be my first mod and i dont really care. at the moment, it will only add a few plants, ferngrass, a growable plant, like wheat, only grows fern flowers which will be used for later things. giant ferns, like trees, only using fern logs as main support, and fern leaves which could be cut with a sword to get fern, a shear to get fern grass seeds, and hit or burnt for a giant fern sapling, and small fern, which is like tall grass: hit for ferngrass seeds.

fern logs can be crafted like logs, and its planks into sticks etc etc. only these make fern tools etc instead, and it logs and woods are green-tinged. these will be the most common plants in the new world, and trees will only generate much bigger and in huge forests, which will be where the brachiosaurs spawn, and diplodocus will spawn in plains with smallfern on.

new passive mobs will be:
:Red: not done
:Yellow: in development
:Orange: done, with bugs, to be fixed
:Green: done

:Red: brachiosaurus
:Red: diplodocus
:Red: stegosaurus
:Red: all baby dinos
:Yellow: amonites
:Red: corals
:Red: pterodactyl

hostiles:
:Red: tyrannosaur
:Red: velociraptor
:Yellow: pterosaurs
:Red: spinosaur
:Red: gigantosaur
:Yellow: PLIOSAURS even more ferocios than gigantosaur

passive until attacked:
:Red: triceratops
:Red: iguanadon
:Yellow: trilobite

plants:
:Red: small fern
:Yellow: giant fern
:Lime: fern grass
:Lime: giant trees

it would be nice if someone could make me a 16x16 texture pack for this and a banner

it would also be nice if anybody could help me with programming some of the stranger mobs, like triceratops and all sky and sea based potentially aggresive mobs
downloads will become available as soon as i have finished plants.

at first download, this will be moved to released mods

We're making something like this, see my signiture, we may add more time zones later, not revealing anything. We already have giant trees and ferns of different sizes. Sorry

i will be adding screenshots of this mod when ive made worldgen giant trees, world gen giantfern/smallfern and tileentity files and animation files for the ones that have finished being modeled: pterosaur, trilobite and amonite, pliosaur, being around 8 blocks long, donesnt fit on texture map :/

work on this mod suspended for a while, for two reasons, first because i need to learn a lot more javacode, and get the plugin for techne that extends the texture map for creatures, until then, no work can be done on brachiosaurus, or anymore of the lrger monsters. second, because i am going to be working on the pre-prehistoric mod, as i will still be learning the same java and halving the work needed.
