Steve's Carts  2 (v2.0.0 alpha 123)

Steve's Carts 2 introduces a modular system where you can build a huge amount of carts(hundreds of millions) by combining the parts you want. And yes, it's now for multiplayer.

To get started building carts you should build a cart assembler. Then you'll need a hull of your choice as well as all the modules you wanna add. Then you can just do so in the assembler. You also need coal in the left hand slot of the two slots on the right. The cart will be placed in the right hand one when it's done.

VERY COOL! Maybe you could make a plugin for this? I'd love that!

I'm not entirely sure what you mean with a plugin. :)

That will probably appear in some upcoming version. At least for the IDs. Some of the carts might have a faster version of themself. Like the carts you can ride. I think I will make a faster one of those.

A plugin is a sort of mod for SMP, but you can easily install and de-install. Most of the time it is a .jar file.

Ideas are always good, what type of minecarts would you like to connect?

well like if you could make the powered minecart connect with the storage minecarts aswell with the controllable travel cart and the regular one so if you were going into your mine or around somewhere you could just ride along and feed fuel into your engine

Looks great, good job. I think it would be a nice addition to have detector rails for different carts so you could make sorters.
Ford, you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.
