NOTE: The 3rd 1.9 Prerelease adds the cauldron into the game. There is no need to use this mod for 1.9 Prerelease 3.

For information on how to use Cauldrons, see this topic.

This mod adds in the cauldrons that were coded by Mojang in the 1.9 prerelease 2 update, but not assigned a block id. This mod just edits some existing class files to assign the cauldron a block id of 116. It also adds a recipe for creating the Cauldrons.

Download link (1.9 Prerelease 2 only) (Single-Player only)
(Adfly link) Download
(non-Adfly link) Download

NOTE: When the official 1.9 is released, make sure to remove the cauldrons from your world before updating. It is possible they might not be included in the official 1.9 release.

Also you should add a crafting recipe.

How about 8 iron ingots in a square?

Whoops sorry about forgetting to add a recipe. I've updated the first post and the mod with a new recipe. Re-download the mod if you can't craft it.

I put together a list of a few potion effects and how to make them:
ghast tear = instant health
fermented spider eye = mining fatigue/Poison 2
magma cream = fire resistance
water = nothing
spider eye = slowness
blaze powder = mining fatigue/weakness
ghast tear+fermented spider eye = mining fatigue/instant health 2/blindness/poison
ghast tear+magma cream = instant health 2/fire resistance
ghast tear+spider eye = slowness/instant health
fermented spider eye+magma cream = fire resistance/poison 2
fermented spider eye+spider eye = slowness/hunger/poison 2
magma cream+spider eye = slowness/hunger
ghast tear+blaze powder = mining fatigue/instant health 2
spider eye+blaze powder = slowness
ghast tear+fermented spider eye+magma cream = instant health 2/fire resistance/hunger/poison 2
ghast tear+fermented spider eye+magma cream+spider eye = slowness/hunger/poison 2

extra ingredients = sugar

After I did all of those I got bored, so if anyone wants to add on to this, go ahead.

I'm not sure if this has been asked elsewhere or not, but is this mod SMP compatible or just SP for now?

sick mod, definitely liking this alot, thankyou for making this :D I'm surprised since the 2nd version of 1.9 PR had potions why Mojang wouldn't have included a cauldron or something to make them in, wouldn't have to be perfect but I guess thats where awesome people such as the creator of this mod comes into finish the job :D :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond:

the only reason I don't want to download this mod is because it replaces all of the already existing potions

Sorry I didn't know much about this mod, it adds potions, not replaces them.
