NOTIFICATION!

The download for the regular version of the pack is currently down. This is due to a strange copyright dispute, and should hopefully be solved soon. For now, you will have to download the LITE version of the texture. Thanks for your time.

This is a 64x resolution texture pack. This means you need to patch your minecraft before you play. If you are suffering from your bricks, grass and gold blocks having water and portals and lava in them, then it's beacuse you didn't patch your Minecraft. If any of you ask why you are getting these, you will be ignored.

MINECRAFT HD TEXTURE PATCHER

There is no one around. You have no one to turn to when the darkness arrives. You can feel your sanity slipping away, can't you?

Welcome to complete

What's that? You don't want to go insane? You don't want to be subjected to the shadows? Well then, I guess it's time to fight. But... what will be the outcome?

~A BRIEF HISTORY~

About half way into my Rainforests & Ruins texture, I found my old Gamecube and decided to plug it in for some good old, nostalgic gaming. After playing a few of my old favourites, I noticed a black cover sitting in the bottom of my game piles. I picked up the case and saw "Resident Evil" written on it. I looked at the back cover and looked at the small screenshots, and decided to finally man up and play the game after these many years(I had only watched my brother play it, I was too scared myself. Keep in mind I was only about 8).

So after finally beating the game, and defecating on my chair multiple times, I decided it was final: I would create a Resident Evil texture pack. Unfortunately, this proved more difficult than I imagined, as getting hold of Resident Evil REmake textures from the Gamecube was a rather impossible task. Not giving up, I decided I would instead just create a horror-themed pack, rather than a direct Resident Evil texture.

And so I got to work on a 32x texture, and realised I could make it a lot more creepy and detailed with a 64x canvas. I decided to take up the task, and began with smooth stone. At first, the thought of a 64x texture seemed impossibly hard, but as I dabbed in those final dark spots on the stone I realised something: this is going to be amazing.

I got to work on the other textures: wood planks, logs, ores, doors, windows and bookshelves, and after getting feedback from my fellow Texture Artist Union members, the texture came to life. I created a thread, and got a whopping 73 downloads on the first day. And so I decided this is going to be big: much bigger than my Rainforests & Ruins texture.

And now the texture has mutated (instead of blossomed, because it's a horror texture and all) into this divine piece you are all pasting into your Minecraft texture pack folders now.

Now just a word of advice: bring a diaper. You don't want to wreck another pair of pants, do you?

A big shout out to drfrozenfire who, even when sick, still managed to create an amazing water and lava texture for my pack, something I am extremely grateful for.

Thanks to maces006, who converted my texture pack to be usable with the pocket edition of Minecraft.

Haha lol. Yep, looking nice and horrifying. Might I suggest a few more screenies, suitably darkened and made more horrifying?

Ugh. Leaves. My normal ones are satisfactory for now... Pine leaves/needles are a pain.

My leaves will look better when I change biome colours... but right now, they look way too RPG and cheery.

Meh. Make some nice dark green and brown biomes. Also, they may or may not work as they used to (damn 1.8's biome coding XC)

I'm not liking the stone, it pops out too much to me. The ores should stand out more than the stone itself.

I was very sceptical of it at first, but it grew on me a lot. I can make an alternate texture, if you like. Once it's released.

The stone texture itself is fine for the most part, I think the borders / mortar separating the individual stones needs to be toned down a bit. Maybe some light grey / gray instead of black.

i would think so too ... it is supposed to be SMOOTH stone ^^ make the parts between the single rocks less dark or the rock itself darker and it will look a lot better (the pattern and overall style of the stone is very good, just the coloring is a bit too harsh ;) )

the term smooth in this case means unrefined. real stones aren't usually smooth unless exposed to the elements for long periods.

@appleslinky: me likey.. can't wait to get my hands on it!
