I HAVE DECIDED TO CONTINUE MAKING THE MAP AFTER ALL BECAUSE OF THE POLL. I WILL REMAKE THE ENTIRE MAP AFTER I FINISH THIS PROJECT. THANKS FOR WAITING!
ROOM AFTER ROOM 1.0.0 IS NOW UNDER WORK.
WIP: 11% ROOM AFTER ROOM 1.0.0 IS TAKING A BREAK BECAUSE I'M LACKING INPUT.
Please read the entire post if you want to play the map. I cannot stress this enough. Read the entire thread. The whole thing. Every word. Then, download.
Please also note that if you want to play co-op or multiplayer with this map, please play on easy or higher difficulty. You could also restart the server every time the difficulty has to be changed to get the feeling of the map itself, when played on singleplayer.
Introduction
Looking for a challenge? Been playing all those boring parkour or puzzle maps and needs a map to hype you up? Its Plaatinum10 here, or Plaat, for short, bringing you this HARDCORE map you've all been waiting for. This map is a typical straightforward map that just needs you to move on to room, after room, completeting the puzzles to move on to the next room, until you reach the end. However, these aren't the usual boring puzzles you encounter...
Style of the map
The several different types of rooms in the map include:
Puzzle Parkour Combat Mazes
Videos
Currently 4 playthroughs of my map are featured, including a playthrough by ChimneySwift. There are many others you can search up on youtube.

Rules
Of course every map must have rules. If you do not follow rules, whats the point of the map?
The rules of this map is simple
Do not break blocks (including cobweb and minecarts) you didn't place unless a sign specifically says to break it. The exception is leaves and monster spawners. You are not allowed to place blocks you did not get legally. (eg. Creepers)
You cannot craft wool with string.
Do not hack items into the game using any sort of file changing, or in-game changing editor.
Do not use mods to your advantage. This map is designed only to allow the use of the mod, Somnia, which allows sleeping at any time, therefore allowing you to reset your spawn at daytime.
Do read and follow ALL the signs and do what you are told to. That include dropping off items in chests, and changing the
difficulty. Also, please start playing on peaceful, and then change to Easy + later on when you are told to. Do not use water buckets in a room you did not craft the bucket in.
Try not to ragequit. The entire map is playtested by me and several others many times, and is proven completable.
Do not hurl or throw apples. Keep them in your inventory as it is the score.
Spoiler
Teleporting to another player is allowed in multiplayer.
I guess that is all for the rules.
Download
I guess this is what you all came from, right, so here is the download.
Download 'Room After Room' Version 0.8.1, made in Minecraft Version 1.8.1
Quote
The download is in adf.ly because
1. It doesn't cost you anything, only 5 seconds of your life added to the download time
2. It gives me a little something to accomplish from making this map
3. I was making the map throughout my examination period
4. It makes me happy =D
So yeah, if you actually just NOT want to wait that 5 seconds, post to tell me and I will provide a direct download. I still think 5 seconds is faster than waiting for me to see the post and post up a direct download. =P
Installation Instructions are in the readme accompanied in the download, so please take your time to read it.
(Filesize : 684.39KB)
Other Information
Texture Pack recommended is Subtlecraft. It is 16x16, and does not require MCPatcher. It is not required, however, to play the map.
Mod recommended is Somnia. It is used to allow you to sleep at any time, able-ing you to sleep at daytime.
The map is almost entirely made out of planks, so if you have allergy to pixellated wood, please do not play my map.
Also, this map takes around 1 - 2 hours to play, depending on your skill. This map is specially directed towards hardcore players.
You areallowed to place torches.
If a creeper blows up a part of the room that renders the room unable to complete, you are allowed to skip the room to finish the map. Also, do a report on the topic on that.
The rooms are placed in no particular order of difficulty, apart from the first 5 rooms, the warmup rooms.
Sometimes enderman may screw up some parts of the map, especially the last room, where they can just take blocks from the walls and place them randomly on the floor. Play in 1.9 for the BEST experience.
If you want to play in multiplayer, and not want to restart the server to change the difficulty, start on easy difficulty or higher. You'll have to deal with monsters in the library as well. =D
Your score is counted by apples. Get as many apples as you can! When you reach the end of the map, post the number of apples you got in the forums along with a screenshot to prove it!
Easy+ means Easy or above.
Reports
If you found a bug or glitch on my map, please post the bug on this topic stating clearly what it is about, adding screenshots when necessary.
Scoring System
Your score for the map is recorded by apples! Please post a screenshot of your score if you want to be included in the high score list!
1. Press F2 while in minecraft to take the screenshot.
2. Go to the screenshots folder in your .minecraft folder. Your screenshot will be there.
3. Upload the screenshot on an image uploading website. I recommend tinypic since it doesn't need an account whatsoever.
4. Post it on this thread as a reply in this format

Opening Thought:
Do you guys know how hard it is to write something instrinsictly linked to a map but a rant/ thought in its own right? Because let me tell you, it isn't easy... Okay this'll do. Isn't wood a funny word [CENSORED BY NOTCH]
... Damn it. Enjoy the review.
Visual:
I really enjoyed the design of each puzzle leve here, each one offered unique and different set up that makes them truely memorable. I also enjoyed the way the combat sections were done in the obsidian and with differnet set ups really breaking everything up ... oh yhea but ther colours all blend together into plain old wooden planks so that could have used variety.
[8.5/10]
Challenge:
Top marks here, every challenge has an interesting and creative and above all else different. it never gets so hard I want to snap my computer in half, but in never gets impossible. If you're willing to think about it and be challenged then there is non-stop fun to be had.
[4.5/5]
Length:
Okay The length was nearly perfect, but the minecart setions seemed out of place. However I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are there to bridge the gaps that you'll put puzzles in for the completed version, as such top marks.
[4.5/5]
Puzzle variety:
As I've said the puzzles here are all creative, fun, interesting and different. Even though there are a few parkour and combat repeates they all bring something different to the fold so may as well be completly different. I particuly enjoyed the golf section which is more like a crate of fun rather than a barrel.
[9.5/10]
Things That Need Improvement:
- Visual Colour Design
- Finishing it
Thngs That Need No-Improvement:
- The Puzzles
- The evil creator notes
Final Thoughts:
This game is a ton of fun and ranks up there as the best straight puzzle map I have ever played, it not only eeps you guessing between each puzzle, but requires you to use your brain if you have any hope of completing its myriad of challenges. In short this is a game for all those people who think that the usual puzzle rigmaroll of having a bainless jumping puzzle all the time is... well brainless.
Percentage Score:
92%

• Room After Room 0.2: Very very very challenging. Some puzzles are sooo difficult, and I loved the glass puzzle. The last part, the HUGE parkour was the best! I completed it in a single shot. This map was a very nice one, silly signs, but some parts were a bit annoying, like the giant library maze. Hardcore players will like it. Well done.

Pretty good puzzle map, the puzzles were challenging but doable with some effort

It was an excellent map, I wish you'd used the monsters more tactically like in the last room. Other than that, one of the best puzzle maps I've played in awhile, even though it's only in Beta. Props to you for a nice map.

Hello, nice map! Looks great. Had a quick look today, and I'll make a quick vid. I'm not a really big YouTuber (User: Wllmdu), i don't even have 100 subs. Currently I have 90, but I'll play through your map and post it tomorrow. This is Sydney time btw Nice map!

Thanks! I am surely waiting for your video. I subbed too!
I guess I'm off to sleep, I hope this map gets response tomorrow morning. Cheers!
That is ultimately great, challenging and uses my deepest cognitive thoughts for each room. If you were wondering who I am, I'm one of your Beta Testers. In fact maybe the only one. And for your information, Massive Logistics exists.
However there for a few Pros and Cons. To find out much of them, I played this twice. The first try is for the test, the next is a kind of 'Go-Behind-The-Scenes' where I punched wood. Therefore I have arrived to this basic conclusion from Band Of Minecrafters.
Pros
Thought provoking
Death
Rewards (cake is not a lie)
Format (in which it is presented)
Cons
Death
Small range of getting the correct landing
Mode of transportation around the test chamber and between test chambers (except the long minecart ride)
At the last room where you need to jump and fight monsters, a creeper blew up one of the jumping pads. Can you fix this in any possible way?
I will probably find some way to fix this, but not in the near future, because that would make me have to remake the entire room. I would replace the floor with obsidian, though.
