About Defscape:

• The 64x version was originally created to upgrade Minecraft to HD, but without being too different from the default pack.
  
• The 16x & 32x versions continue the theme by introducing a low-res and a medium-res version.
  
• The packs are built to be smooth and non-grainy yet not "simple".
  
• They include GUI, item (64x & 32x), particle (64x, 32x & some 16x), weather, animation, mob, terrain, art, font, chest, sign, boat and cart upgrades.
  
• The packs are compatible with random mobs, now included in MCPatcher.
  
• If you're a redstonian, these packs were also designed to make redstone wiring clearer.
  
• Currently, villagers haven't been upgraded as I'm not convinced this is their final form!
  
• These texture packs will be regularly updated - new versions will be typically released within 24-48 hours of a new Minecraft update, and sometimes inbetween.
  
• Comments, suggestions and opinions are all welcome .

- Download Defscape 64x GLSL terrain 1.0.zip from Mediafire (909k).

Installation:
Here are the Defscape specific installation instructions. Please follow them carefully!

1. tf2jake explains the first steps of installation perfectly over on his thread. See the section: "How to install the GLSL".

2. Next, you'll need to modify a few lines of code in the GLSL. To do this:

a.) Open minecraft.jar in a program like winrar and find the gbuffers_terrain.fsh file located in minecraft.jar/shaders.
b.) Copy gbuffers_terrain.fsh to your computer. Open the file in wordpad.
c.) Find the code:

d.) Remove the "//"'s just before the 128x128 code and add them to the 16x16 code, exactly as shown above. This activates the 128x128 depth size which we'll be using for Defscape (why are we using 128x128 bump-mapping depth? See notes below!).
e.) Copy the modified gbuffers_terrain.fsh back to the minecraft.jar/shaders directory.

3. Install the Defscape 64x GLSL terrain 1.0 files by copying the terrain_nh.png and terrain_s.png into your Defscape 64x.zip texture pack. Make sure they are placed in the root of the .zip file, next to terrain.png.

4. Run Minecraft!

Notes:
- Defscape 64x GLSL terrain 1.0.zip is only compatible with Defscape 1.7.5+. Any earlier and there may be mismatches between bump-map and texture.

- You'll need a fairly modern CPU and graphics card to run this mod smoothly.

- Defscape 64x GLSL terrain files are a work in progress. If you'd like to see more textures that are bumpy and/or shiny, let me know!

- Using the 128x128 bump-map code in the gbuffers_terrain.fsh file is temporary until there's a decent alternative for 64x64 packs. The current 64x code available is too extreme, while the 128x code is probably slightly too soft/shallow. Right now the 128x128 depth is the best solution until something better is found. That said, if you can figure out better values for 64x packs, let me know!

This pack is essentially Defscape 64x with a few glitzy studio tweaks:

- Sticks and swords are now microphones!
- Pistons are now glossy TV desks!
- Note blocks are now studio speakers.
- Furnaces and dispensers are now various TV monitors.
- Redstone lamps are now production lights!
- Green wool is now a flat matt colour for greenscreen superimposition.

Yeah, as it stands, sand is quite light. I might make it darker in the next release. It will have to match with sandstone though, roughly!

Haha, yeah, other people have mentioned this too. I'll probably cut the amount of icons on it by half, maybe just leave tools and armour items on there .

Thanks . Yeah, soar does an amazing job. Unfortunately his pack wasn't quite what I was looking for in Minecraft, so Defscape was born .
