Spoiler
FarmCraftory adds 18 new seeds and crops into Minecraft. Some crops are single-harvest and yield only only one fruit or vegetable after being destroyed. Other crops are multi-harvest and have the potential to revert back to a previous growth stage to yield another fruit or vegetable. Seeds can be found in grass in specific biomes, but if SeasonCraftory is installed, crops are divided by seasons instead.
Pink Turnip - Single Harvest; found in Plains and Shroom biomes (or during Spring)
Cabbage - Single Harvest; found in Plains and Shroom biomes (or during Spring)

These seeds can only be found in tallgrass by crafting new tool called a Sickle and using it to cut down tall grass. Sickles can be made from Wood, Stone, Iron, Diamond, or Gold. Each type of sickle has the same drop rate, but higher grade sickles have more durability.
Spoiler
Normal farming in Minecraft requires a nearby water block to supply watering to farmland or else the farmland remains dry. You can optionally add a more challenging route to growing crops by keeping farmland watered manually by using another tool called a watercan. To fill the watering can, use the empty version of the item on a water source block. To use the watering can, use a filled can directly on the dry farmland or on the crop on top (it will water the farmland beneath it). After a set amount of uses, the watercan will become empty and will need refilling. There are two types of watercans available: Wood and Iron. A wood watercan will water one square at a time, but an iron watercan will water a 3x3 square area with just one click.
Spoiler
In junction to the watering can item, there is also a slight change to fundamental mechanics of farming. Every Minecraft morning will begin with a "drying" period which lasts an hour (0:00 to 1:00 or 6:00 A.M. to 7:00 A.M if you are using the GUI). Any watered farmland that is not near a water source block will change from wet to dry during this period.
If using this new mechanic, your crops will need to be watered on a daily basis for them to grow and produce healthy and mature fruit and vegetables. If you forget to water, your crops will eventually turn brown and wilted, and they will stop growing. To cure the wilted status, just water the crop and it will return to its healthy state. If you break a wilted plant, it will give you a withered grass item. This withered grass item is similar to bonemeal as it can be used directly on crops to potentially grow them by one growth stage at a time. TIP: You may want to purposely allow some of your crops to wilt so you can get withered grass to use on your other crops.
Spoiler
A third farming tool in your new arsenal is a magnifying glass. This item is used to inspect crops to get details about that specific crop. Details shown are:
Name of the crop
Current growth stage
Level of the crop* (More info below)
Season type
Harvest type (single or multi)
Spoiler
A major element included in this mod is a rewarding level and experience system. Each time you harvest a fully grown crop, you will gain a Farming experience orb. These orbs add experience to your Farming level and once you get enough exp, your level will go up by one. There are a total of 50 levels to gain in Farming. Having a specific level in Farming is required to get higher level seedbags from harvesting crops.
Farming Lv. 1 - 9: Level 1 Seedbags
Farming Lv. 10 - 19: Level 2 Seedbags
Farming Lv. 20 - 29: Level 3 Seedbags
Farming Lv. 30 - 39: Level 4 Seedbags
Farming Lv. 40+: Level 5 Seedbags
All seedbags have a level between 1 and 5. In turn, all crops also have a level between 1 and 5.

All fish have a tendency to avoid and move away from the player if the fish is not tamed. Un-tamed fish will also despawn if the player moves far enough away but tamed fish will not. To tame a fish, it must be caught with a special fishing rod that has either bait or a lure attached. To craft these special rods, you will first need bait or lures.
Bait worms can be found randomly by tilling farmland with a hoe. The type of hoe determines the type of bait worm you will get. Better quality hoe = better quality bait worms. Having a higher quality of bait increases the rate fish are attracted to your bobber. Baitworms can only be used to catch Freshwater and River type fish. Baitworms stack up to 64.
Poor Baitworm (Black) - Found with Wooden Hoe.
Common Baitworm (Green) - Found with Stone Hoe.
Good Baitworm (Blue) - Found with Iron Hoe.
Great Baitworm (Purple) - Found with Diamond Hoe.
Super Baitworm (Orange) - Found with Golden Hoe.
Lures can be crafted as well. Lures can only be used to catch Ocean and Swamp type fish. Lures do not stack.
Minnow Lure - Put one stick, one red dye, and one bonemeal in crafting menu.
Crank Lure - Put one stick, one yellow dye, and one orange dye in crafting menu.
Spoon Lure - Put one iron ingot, one green dye, and one lime dye in crafting menu.
Jig Lure - Put one iron ingot, one orange dye, and one cocoa beans in crafting menu.
A special set of lures also exist and cannot be crafted. Instead, they are dropped from mobs and will retain some characteristics from the original mob. There is a 10% chance one of these lures will drop from the mob. When you attach one of these lures to a rod, and successfully catch a fish, you will also get an additional item.
Spoiler
Creeper Lure - Extra item: Gunpowder; Explodes upon contact with ground
Ender Lure - Extra item: Ender pearl; Teleports player upon contact with ground
Cave Spider Lure - Extra item: Spider eye; Poisons nearby mobs (Player is immune)
Blaze Lure - Extra item: Blaze rod; Lights block on fire on contact
Skeleton Lure - Extra item: Bone
Zombie Lure - Extra item: Rotten flesh
Spider Lure - Extra Item: String
Slime Lure - Extra item: Slime ball
Magma Lure - Extra item: Magma cream
Zombie Pig Lure - Extra item: Gold nugget
Pig Lure - Extra item: Raw pork
Sheep Lure - Extra item: Wool
Cow Lure - Extra item: Raw beef
Chicken Lure - Extra item: Raw Chicken
Squid Lure - Extra item: Ink sac
Mooshroom Lure - Extra item: Red Mushroom
To attach bait or lure to a rod, you will need to make the Tacklebox block.
After crafting the Tacklebox, place a regular fishing rod into the first slot, and your bait or lure into the second. Press equip to get a new Bait/Lure rod. Remember, bait stacks up to 64, and lures don't stack at all.
Spoiler
You can also add bait to an existing Bait rod as long as they are the same type.
Spoiler
You are now ready to start fishing! Equip one of the new rods and find some fish mobs. (Remember: Bait Rods can only catch Freshwater & River fish and Lure Rods can only catch Ocean & Swamp fish.)
To cast out the bobber, press the left mouse button (Attack), and press the right mouse button (Use Item) to reel the bobber back in. Nearby fish will eventually become attracted to the bobber. After a set amount of time, the bobber will hook onto the fish. (Remember: Better bait/lure = The faster fish will hook on)
Fish will struggle if they are hooked and will pull back away from you. On the side, you will see a indicator for the current tension of your line. Tension only rises when you reel in (right click). If you reach max tension (red), the line will break and you'll have to start over again. Bait Rods will be subtracted by one and Lure Rods will take damage.
Once you pull the fish close enough and the fish is fatigued, you will successfully catch the fish! You will also get an experience orb towards your fishing level. Every 10 levels gives you less line tension, and the fish will become fatigued faster which means faster catching.
You now have a tamed fish which you can place back into your own pool, pond, aquarium, ect. Right click on a block that is underneath water to place down your new fish.
To pick your fish back up, you will need to craft a fish net. Right click with the fish net to pick it up. (Try as you like, you can't pick up untamed fish.)
Tamed fish are breedable. Successfully catch two fish of the same kind and use the fish flakes item on the both of them.
You now have an adorable baby fish
If you prefer to show off your fish in a different way, you can craft a fish painting.
Spoiler
FruitCraftory adds six fruit trees that start out as small saplings and eventually grow into trees with regrowable fruit on them. The six fruit tree types are as follows:
Orange
Grape
Pear
Peach
Banana
Cherry
To find these saplings, use bonemeal on grass blocks. There is a random chance one of these saplings will appear on the grass. You can also purchase them from the Harvest Chest (see ChefCraftory). After a set amount of time, the fruit sapling will grow into a fruit tree with un-ripe (green) fruit on it. These un-ripe fruit will then ripen over time (turn into the proper color of the fruit) and can now be harvested/broken off the tree. Each tree will be able regrow its fruit as long as no part of it destroyed in any way. New fruit always start out as un-ripe and will not drop the fruit item if harvested early.

You can also transfer your Farming, Cooking, and Fishing stats from an old world to a new world. Go to your .minecraft/saves folder and find the named folder for your old world. In that folder will be files named "FarmInfo.dat", "CookInfo.dat", and "FishInfo.dat". Copy and Paste those files into your new world save folder and load Minecraft as normal. Your old Farm/Cook/Fish levels should now be in your new world. (Note: "SeasonInfo.dat" is your current saved season & day. This is also transferable between worlds.)

This is indeed a wonderful copy of Rune Factory so far. I can see you adding all the weapons, armor, upgrading of those things, new drops (so that you can collect those elemental pieces for weapons) as well as the medicine and cooking portions, if you wanted.

That looks fantastic... too bad i'm on 1.9pre... =( id revert to 1.8.1 but since I have little free time, by the time I can play again... notch will have already updated to official... but i'll check it out... sound like a perfect farm upgrade! THANKS!
Just a suggestion, but you should make it compatible with ItemSpriteApi or something similar that use unlimited item sprites so that I (and probably countless other people) won't have to erase some other mods just to fit this one in. Again, just a suggestion, since I don't know the difficulty of doing this.
I would download this mod, but does it support 16x16 textures? D:
Yes, the sprite textures will appear in 16x texture packs but at a reduced quality since the original textures are 32x. But everything functions the same way unless there is an issue I'm not aware of yet.
I really like the look of this, but it's a shame the 'crop irrigation' via nearby water would no longer work if this mod is installed. I like to construct Strongholds, build railroad & irrigation systems and mine for resources as much as I like farming, and with the size of the fields I envision (what with all the new crop types) I'd be watering all day long.
Still, a remarkable mod!
SsssssssssssssssssssssssssSURPRISE! "What the FUUUU..." BOOM
