I mean really, what do these people do all day other than spin around in office chairs and make gigantic, unnecessary blog posts about random crap no one cares about? Modding groups can and have done what Mojang does in MONTHS in literally a week. How long did it take Mojang to put out broken, incompelete villages? Months? Took modders a few weeks tops, and their villages had fully interactive NPC's that fought, mined, collected resources, etc. How many animals does Mojang offer after a year? Less than 10? Modders have tripled that within days.
Honestly, I feel like these people have 20 minute workdays, or they code like slugs. I have NEVER seen a developer code this slowly. It's unbelievable.

I agree. Terraria grew faster. They probably got lazy with all the money.

Note that most modders versions of many things are absolute crap. Mo' Creatures? Almost all the animals do the same thing. Nothing original there. Also note that Minecraft is not the only game in development by Mojang. Mojang also are striving for a game with no bugs, as buggy mods (and I've bet you have come across plenty...Oh wait, you probably haven't as your forum involvement is next to zero) are extremely annoying and bore users within hours.

>Implying that I have to be a forum nerd that associates with a bunch of children in order to download mods.
Sorry if I don't like talking to kids half my age all day.
Kid, the mods I've come across, and especially the big ones, are almost entirely bug free, and nothing is ever even noticeably or game-breaking.

No, but you have to actually have your head in society instead of stuck up your **** before you start bitching about what the company is doing. If you want some sway, some power, some respect, you have to earn it. Right now you just look like some complaining ungrateful derp that has created his forum account for the sole purpose of sooking over something that you haven't even read up on.

So you're 37? It's called patience. As the above poster said, hundreds of thousands of modders are creating mods, but only about 10-20 are even recognized. You're effectively saying that out of hundreds of thousands of modders, the staff at Mojang should be better and program faster than every single person out of the entire modding community.
you go code a game this well.
Mojang work on other games as well doing other things like getting ready for launch party
Modders force think of a idea to make a mod out of then do it. Mojang lets community decide on how it should be also their blogs aint huge
i agree, but i can't blame Notch, if i made MILLIONS after creating ONE simple sandbox game, i'd probably get lazy too. I mean look at 1.8, we all know the only reason they split it up into two updates (1.8 & 1.9) is because they procrastinated and didn't have their **** together.
Although what bothers me is that they are creating other games (that will most likely be flops) when really they should be focusing their developement more towards Minecraft as the time for the official release draws near. Seriously Scrolls? that sounds like something I'd never play in my oppinion.
And one more thing, you can't overlook the fact that modders do get more coding and updates done to their mods in a few months than Notch has in his whole developement career, do modders have more time on their hands? most likely. Are they getting paid for their work? no. The bottom line is that Notch should be doing a way better job then a few kids who make decent mods, especially if it's his Goddamn job.
All I heard was QQ I want this now QQ I want that now.
Cute your calling people kids but yet yourself is crying about something stupid, how about if you dont like it dont play and go make your own game so we can see some just like you QQ.
But forget my argument because this is the part where you scream in rage and tell me such gems as "Lol well if you dunt like it you can stop playing!!" or "STFU NOTCH HAS A LIFE YKNOW!" and let's not forget the classic "HAHA I bet you couldn't make a game millions of people would play!"
Although I am defending Mojang in this conversation, I believe those are the most overused, unintelligent and annoying counter-arguments ever.
Actually, I must admit, this "debate" is going rather well, there are some interesting topics brought up here, and those above three reasons haven't been brought up a million times like in other rants.
>Implying that I have to be a forum nerd that associates with a bunch of children in order to download mods.
Sorry if I feel the need to attempt to use my age as a trump card.
Kid, the mods I've come across, and especially the big ones, are almost entirely bug free, and nothing is ever even noticeably or game-breaking.
Either you're 30-something and arguing with teenagers, or you're one of us. There's no way for you to come out on top here.
While it's true that many mods are nearly bug free, the balance of the game is rarely maintained in a mod, unless it's a no-content mod like Dynamic Lights. (And lighting engines are rather complicated, so that has a few bugs occasionally.) I've tried major mods like Mo' Creatures, Millenaire (I think that was the name of it.), and collabs like the YogBox. Most of the time, they changed the game in a way that made it less enjoyable in the long run, though they're fun to try.
Mojang has to work with an entire game, and they're not even obligated to make any more updates. With that and their low number of employees considered, I think it's coming along nicely.
If any senator wishes to read this, I suggest a SUSA bill. Stop United States Act. If the internet needs to babysit your lawmaking, Then there's something wrong.
Mojang is small, and they have had a very big, very busy year, with conventions, weddings and enormous expansion of Minecrafts popularity.
It's only fair to cut them a little slack, the game is still in beta after all.
Also, Duke Nukem Forever.
And you complain about a couple of months :tongue.gif:

Great work Doku, but one little question;
You seem to have swapped the powered rails 'lit' and 'unlit' textures. Is that on purpose?
Can't we all just get along. lol. I can't complain. i love this game. i think the reason why ppl love it so much is that u can make the world ur own. My only suggestion to Notch would be not to start another project until its done. he should pour all of his energy into minecraft until it is complete. but thats just a suggestion. :wink.gif:

If you don't like it, just leave :/ it's not Mojang's problem that you don't have a life to do something else while you wait for updates. They may take the time they want to release them, you have NO word about it, if you're so good, make your own company and creat a 3+ million selling game, and then come here and complain saying nonsenses.

1.8 is a buggy mess. Mojang had months to do this! Mods make Minecraft better, not updates
