Minecraft block size to meters?

Just a question of curiousity i had. Does anyone know the equivalent of one block in minecraft in either feet or meters?

1 block = 1 meter or 3 feet

1 block is 1 meter because thats what they use in sweeden (where minecraft is from) and 1 meter is about 3 feet

steve is 6ft tall can jump 3ft in the air, an can jump 12ft while sprinting. im just over 4ft can jump maybe 2ft in the air. :/

3 feet IIRC is nine tenths of a meter. So three meters is 10 feet.

Sorry for offtopic, but america is still using feet instead of meters or so? Really, i dont get those measurements (like miles, height in inch, weight in lbs etc). Why make it so complicated?  <_<

Steve is not 6th tall,he's my height 5'11 Lol. And the imperial measurements aren't complicated for most Americans as they are used to it :P

Minecraft need the 1m high jumping. How would you do anything without jumping one single block?
Also, its a game, i dont really care aslong as its balanced.
