Welcome to the first Step-by-Step Tutorial by StraightsonicDX!Today I will be showing you how to build my own Castle wall design!

Items you will need:
Smooth Stone
Stone Bricks
Stone Slabs
Stone Brick Slabs

Alright to start off you're going to want to outline where your wall is going to be with stone:

Posted Image

Next place stone slabs around and inside your outline:

Posted Image

Alright, now to start the wall. Make a four block tall wall on each side out of stone bricks:

Posted Image

Fill in the top:

Posted Image

Okay, now your gonna want to make this design on top:

Posted Image

Build up on the design. It should look like this:

Posted Image

Fill the top:

Posted Image

Place stone slabs in the indentations on the wall:

Posted Image

Now on the very top place stone on the side, and a stonebrick slab on every other block:

Posted Image

Now your wall is pretty much done. You can use this design to make epic castles

Add towers, gates, etc. To your walls to make a castle:

Next hollow out the inside, placing arrow dispensers every couple of blocks along the base connected to a pressure plate all along the outside of the wall....  Instant enderman repellent. If they come close to grab your blocks, they get hurt :P
I've never needed graph paper before till this very moment in Minecraft.

Only problem with that is if they miss the pressure plate since there isn't one every block and don't get shot, would be better if you could somehow rig up a large moat that when a pressure plate is stood on, the dirt above the moat (filled with lava) is removed by piston, enderman falls in.

Do you have a save file for a flat map? I could use one.

That's a beautiful design! I might use that eventually.

loving the wall ideas, i have been adding the mossy stonebricks and cracked stonebricks in places to make the wall look less boring.

looks like i will be adding this sort of thing to the walls, very nice

very similar to the walls I made for the castle in my custom map. Great way to break up the monotony of large walls.

Difference being I used netherack and glowstone to give them a menacing feel:

Nice work. There is a limit to what you can do with plain walls without making them too gordy.

Go look in map's, there's a few, with different grounds, including my personal favorite, TNT :)

OT: at first i was like this doesn't help, but after you added the tower's it looked a hella, lot better!
i might follow this! :D
