''The Atlantis Dimension''

Ok the plan for my mod is to create a portal to a new world called 'Atlantis', the portal will have to be made out of Lapis blocks or another block. However due to the fact that you will probably be under water for the whole time being in this world you will need a new armour commonly known as a diving suit, the diving suit will make you be able to go underwater forever unless the armour is broken which you will then need to replace it. I am thinking of a simple scuba diving suit to be the first kind of armour and then to eventually into a full diving suit that will give you the full potential of living in the sea.

The ocean would have to be full of fish so around ten fish would have to be made possibly and then extending it to more and more. The Atlantis city would only appear once and would be full of gold though stealing gold from the city will cause mobs such as Neptune to attack you. Killing Neptune will reward you of actually owning the city which you then use his Triton for magical spells. However sharks lure the ocean and cannot be controlled with the Triton and when you have used the power of the Triton up Neptune will return and take over. Then eventually replacing the gold you may have stole. After he has taken over you have to gain his trust back by paying him 20 gold ( unless you didn't kill him earlier ) which will then give you items to defend the city which you can do before. Mermaids would roam the city and 'Mermans' would guard the city. The squid texture may have to be changed and Octopus can be introduced such as Dolphins Oysters that have pearls and Crabs / Lobsters and many more Marine fish. ( Maybe Turtles ? )

Announcements and Updates
The mod is coming out well and is beginning to take shape. We are still currently working on coding the mods and many models are coming towards us. The dimension is done however we are currently in the need of a way to activate the portal. We are thinking a bucket of water? The terrain generation is not fully complete and it does definitely need work.

Mobs and NPC

Seahorse
Seahorses will spawn as much as a dog, the seahorses are tamable and have the possibility to ride. To ride a seahorse you first must tame it using any fish and then placing a saddle on its back and riding it.
Sea Turtle
Turtles will spawn quite rare and may drop items to then creating a bowl using its shell and making turtle soup depending if they drop a shell or an item.
Sharks
Sharks will spawn at night and will only hunt you if you look at them. They will not rest till you or them-self is killed and they will lurk the areas of Shipwrecks and the shallow. They will also drop bones and shark teeth.

NPC Characters

Mermen
Mermen will be like mermaids but much more muscular and will go out into the open to collect food.
Mermaids
Mermaids will walk about in the City of Atlantis and will be protected by Mermans.
Merman Guard
These guards will wait and go around the Neptunes Palace and guard the City of Atlantis.
Neptune
Neptune will roam his palace and if attacked he will use magical spells and is extremely hard to kill. After you have killed him he will drop an item called 'Triton' which makes it possible for you to use magical spells.

Fish

Moorish Idol( Almost completed ).
ClownfishCoding Is almost done however a new model update is going to be created.
Flame Angel A great fish which will attract your attention as they appear a bright yellow !
Royal GrammaA purple and yellow fish you will see these about very occasionaly.
Yellow TangAll pretty much yellow and like all the other fish will provide food.
Pacific Regal Blue TangPossibly one of the most known fish as it was featured on nemo playing as 'dora'.

Tentacles

Octopus There will be two types of Octopus, one which will flee on attack and the other which will poison you. Octopus can be eaten.
Jellyfish Jellyfish will be neutral, and will simply glow at night. Attacking a jellyfish will drop gel which you can then create several blocks and items.

Items

Clownfish 100%
The clownfish item is found when a clownfish mob is killed and it drops the item. Which you can feed to certain mobs to tame them.
Crystal Dust 45%
The Crystal Dust is obtained after striking your pickaxe at crystals which will randomly spawn in underwater caves. Crystal Dust are used for creating tools like the Crystal Sword.
Shark Tooth 45%
Shark Teeth are obtained by the death of a Shark. The shark(s) will either drop bones or a shark tooth and then they are used to create tools.
Triton 20%
The Triton can only be obtained by killing Neptune who is practically the boss of the sea as he casts magical spells and has a very large health bar and will kill you easily as creatures of the sea may help to protect him.

Ores and blocks

Fossils20%
Fossils are another source of bones and have to be extracted using the furnace.
Oil Spill Blocks0%
These blocks will release smoke and will harm creatures around them and the minecraft character aswell.
Pebble Block 0%
The Pebble block is a block which is quite like stone and is created using stones and cobblestone in a random order which has not been decided yet. The Pebble Block also spawns randomly at the layer of the ocean where sand is not.

Tools

Crystal Tools 60%
Crystal Tools will be very powerful and will cause maximum damage like a diamond sword but possibly stronger as the Atlantis mobs will be much much powerful then the ones in today minecraft.
Bone Tools 60%
Bone tools are a easy to use and create tool as all you need is bones which you can either obtain in the Atlantis or in normal minecraft.
Ice Tools 40%
Ice tools are created by using ice and will have the power between a wooden and iron sword, pickaxe and other tools.

Vegetation

Coral 35%
Coral can be used for light as well as creating dye.
Seaweed 40%
Seaweed can be used for light as well as creating green dye.

Random Generated Structures

Neptunes Palace
Neptunes Palace will be a hard structure and will have many riches and gold which are protected by 'Mermans' and seacreatures.
Shipwrecks
Shipwrecks will be a sunken ship and will lay at the bottom of the ocean and possibly be concaved. However sharks and fish will lurk this area and will hunt you like a fierce lion.
Underwater Villages
These villages will be populated by mermaids and mermen which will just be like any other ordinary NPC village.

Very interesting. I'm not too sure of it all being made of Gold, and taking over by killing Neptune, in a sense anyway, but the rest sounds pretty good. Personally I'd add pigs with gills, since well, Minecraft Pigs are awesome, and they'd contrast brilliantly with Zombie Pigman of the Nether, Phygs of the Aether, and regular pigs of the Surface. The diving suit sounds very intersting though; maybe the scuba suit being made in the Surface and only allowing for extended time to spent underwater, with the advanced diving suit requiring something found only in Atlantis, granting unlimited time to be spent underwater?

I love your idea of killing Neptune and taking over his golden palace!What I would love to see is being able to control sea creatures with his trident like aqua man.
Also pigs with gills?AWESOME!!!!!Also whales would be cool,a whale could drop oil....

Haha unsure right now but It is something we might want to capture. Maybe they can be in a dungeon / stronghold under the ocean.

As a passive mob they would be, it would be even better if they inked you when attacked,but as a boss mob not so much....
