The AutoTorch Mod

Tired of always stopping to place your torch down, do you want to just dig without stopping to place a torch, are you just plain Lazy!

Introducing, the auto torch mod!

What does it Do?
This simple mod does one thing that will increase the efficiency of your dark underground exploring by 20% guaranteed. With its unique ability it will place torches for you!

note: this is not a cheat mod. You must have a torch in your inventory for it to be placed.


How does it do It?

It detects the light level at the player, checks whether it is lower than the light tolerance level, checks if you have a torch in your inventory if you do.... It places a torch!!!

Other Features

Also includes an options menu where you can enable/disable the mod and set the tolerance. You can alternatively use a key that you configure to enable or disable the auto-placing of torches.

In addition, these options save and will remain the same as you left them when you reopen minecraft.

-Removed a glitch where autotorch disables and enables even in the options menu.

-Added Compatibility with 1.8.1
-Added the ability to toggle enable/disable with the "v" key
-Removed a glitch that replaced blocks with torches.

Installation:

• Download AutoTorch mod
  
• Download Modloader from Risugami's ModLoader
  
• Unzip both files
  
• Unarchive your minecraft.jar (find out how to do that on Risugami's Page)
  
• Paste contents of Modloader folder and AutoTorch folder into Minecraft.jar
  
• Re-Archive Minecraft.jar
  
• Have Fun!

Accessing the AutoTorch options



Have the ability to enable/disable the mod at anytime, set the torch tolerance and set key bindings for toggling the mod on and off.

Now you can also set the distance in front of you the torch is placed!

This is actually an awesome idea man, even though I haven't tried it, it sounds great. However, I'm thinking that mostly people playing on legit worlds will use this when they're mining. I don't know about you, but it would kind of feel like cheating if I keep getting free torches placed on walls... could you maybe have an option for the mod to only place torches if there are some in your inventory? That would be really cool.

Let me guess, it works in SMP? If so, then it's a lame cheat mod. Also do you need to have torches in your inventory or not?

Yourleader, you need to post pictures to show that the mod works. People want to see how the mod functions. Does it take torches from your inventory? What light level does it place them at? Where will the torch be placed, on the left, right, or in front of you? Basically, we want to see the mod working before we download it.

Yes it does come out of your inventory. It checks to see that you have a torch, then places it if you do.

ps-got my masters degree. i studied network security and im damn good a making my own kernels for *nix systems, so i would like to say that i do know what im talking about

anyways back to the point
i tested this mod
i also had Mo Creatures installed
after installing the mod it took aways the menu for mo creatures
already fixed it on my end but im sure someone else is gonna run into that problem and not be able to fix it as easily as i did

I realized that in advanced because it edits the GuiOptions, class. I will try getting around that

But what is when it turns night? Does the torch there also auto-placing? (I am not good in english)
Cause I think that would be a little bit stupid...
