Welcome to:

Bumpmaft was one of the first 128x128 ever released, it was the very first texture pack featured in a gaming magazine. With Bumpmaft I wanted to keep the Minecraft feel alive.

Bumpmaft -R- is the new and improved version of Bumpmaft. 98% of the textures are created by hand:
No stock photos used, or any other photographic material is being used.
Why the name Bumpmaft: After I created the handmade texture the file is exported and used in various 3D programs like: 3DsMax, Maya with Vray rendering. Every texture is rendered again with Bump- and normalmaps. This adds alot more detail and depth to the texture.
Minecraft+Bumpmap: BumpMaft.

As an in real life Digital Art & entertainment designer I really work hard to make this pack look good and strive to deliver a pack of high quality.

Quite possibly the best texture pack I've seen in a while... Love the brick and cobblestone!
Only bad points....
Don't really like the grass and dirt, you can't really see distances that well.

As the introduction says, the made texture was bumped mapped, rendered, then made 2D again and pixelated.
The real textures are actualy 2024x2024 pixels.
But it's not actual bumped mapped ingame, the engine wouldn't allow it, so I tried to create the next best thing and not make it to detailed, because it wouldn't fit the concept of the game

It looks pretty cool, but as said earlier, the grass seems kind of odd. Also, I think the fences shouldn't be the exact same color as the wood, it makes them look kind of weird.

They use the same texture for wood, so I can't make a separate texture for the fences, I will look into it. Maybe I'll try another line combination.
I'll reroll the version to 0.9 after the new update with the new materials, I'll release V1.0 then
with the updated textures for wood and dirt

It looks okay, but the bubble inventory...meh, and the grass on the cliff...

Hey ! You're pack is really awesome ! *Downloading it right now*
As for some fixes : the grass take 75% on the side of a dirt-grass block, i suggest to lower it to 25% as common, if people don't like it they can use better grass mod ^^
But yeah the grass isn't your best point, leaves are awesome, if you can give a "fresh" look at your grass like leaves, then you got the PERFECT texture pack !
Edit : you also should give the resolution of the terrain.png for people looking for a definished resolution.

next update will be the new blocks, few tweaks to the current textures, Tools skins, grass-dirtblock, Diamond, Gold, Iron blocks reskin.

3) In the read me it says "2. Extract the content of the HD patcher folder into the same map as the mincraft.jar foler"

Does that mean all I do is move the mcpatcher into the minecraft.jar?

no move the content from the HD Folder into the same folder where minecraft.jar is located
So the BIN folder

Ow and it looks like I made a typo there
