My review:

Definitly one of the best 2D clones yet I think, but could use some expansion.

Some ideas:

-Simple Day/Night circle, meaning change of skycolour (Maybe sun and moon, and even stars?) and darkening blocks

-Easier texturepack support (Like just a button to change terrain.png from a folder)

-Not beeing able to place a block in air (Only if another block is below/above/directly left/directly right to it)

-Exploding TNT (Like some particles spawn and a around 5x5 circle of blocks around the TNT gets set to air)

-Water (And maybe lava) generating to make a more fancy horizontal map limit, some lakes too

-Some mobs to make the world a little more living

I know that wouldnt fit to classic mode, but would be quite cool :)

I definitely will include water and lava and night/day circles :P

But at the moment I am working on the adventure mode
It already includes the crafting stuff and so on...

Just made 5-minutes texturepack for this:

Download/terrain.png:

Install Instructions:

Open the Minecraft2DClassic.jar with a prgram such as 7zip or WinRar, then go to "res\terrain" and put the downloaded terrain.png into it. (Note: If you want to use default textures again backup the terrain.png first)
