Do you support an idea that would allow texture artists to customize how certain textures are used, including the ability to change things like the sides of stairs? It would be optional.

If my calculations are right, this thread is thriving, and won't die out for a long, long, time.
This is going to be a cool thread. Why do they say they invented bicardi to get around at night? You'd think that would make it HARDER to get around at night!
(Sorry, just saw the commercial, plus I'm so tired I won't remember this part of this part of this conversation of this part)

I added to the logo so it actually looked like a paintbrush. What do you think?

I don't know if this is a good idea. It could be, but I can't help but seeing the ways things could go wrong. This could turn into a cool kids club, where only certain people are considered worthy of joining. If it becomes big, it could unfairly influence the rules of this board, where the opinions and ideas of anyone who isn't a member are disregarded. It could just dissipate into nothing.

There's also the questions of what makes one a texture artist. For example, would I count? I don't keep an updated pack, just a collection of textures I've made or edited on Minecraft Customizer. I don't really do much traditional pixel art, and I use Filter Forge quite a bit. I also occasionally use stock textures to make something. And what about people doing remixes/compilations? While most we see don't put a lot of work into it, and even if they do they don't properly credit, what about the people who take time to make things work together and follow all the rules perfectly? Do they not count because they 'just made a remix'?

I can see where this could be good, but I've seen things like this turn sour more than a few times in more than a few places.

Made a small pixelly-type icon for my posting format. Anyone who wants to use it may!
Although I should probably scale down the canvas, get rid of all that blank space.

We're not trying to make it a cool kids club, the point of the union is to help gather the texture community and make sure we're all on the same page. As long as there is originality in your works [a completed texture pack is NOT a requirement, but it is a plus]. We want to make sure that who we take on is not just claiming originality while in reality they are taking textures and modifying them slightly, if that makes sense. So if you use filterforge, then you should be good, because that creates unique texturizations.

I also made a pixelly thing.

The dimensions are 16x16. I was thinking that it could be added to existing banners.

EDIT: I'll upload a resized version in a moment.

I'm guessing you have better weather, though. *sigh*

Question: Can I edit my pixel-thing into my current banner, or does it need to be separate, or do I need the full logo?

Also, I thought I should put a link to my work. http://www.minecraft...lines-alpha-12/

Better weather? We just had a hurricane and an earthquake. The hurricane knocked out my power for three days and the earthquake made a big sinkhole in the back garden.

I mean, I love rain and all, but no power was horrible. Before my iPad's battery ran out I just sat outside and listened to music, but then it died and I just slept all day.

aaaanyways, here's a link to Resonance!.
