PUZZLE Broject: Monotone by L!sette
This is a WIP map which is quite good for it's current state. It looks alright and some nice puzzles but still needs to improve on it's plot and bugs/issues.
I seemed to be stuck, with no where to go, so I broke down a wall, and found myself in the next room. Either I suck or you forgot a button for the pistons... However that seemed to be the last of my problems. There were quite a few puzzles which came after that I found quite enjoyable.
Alot of the puzzles also utilised pistons and redstone mechanics, some being fairly un-origninal but then there was some great cases where I found something new that I haven't seen. Overall for a WIP map it has to potential to do great. I look forward to the next parts of the map.
ADVENTURE The Search For Queen Bee! by Barlor
This RPG map took me quite by suprise and was very nice. It looks great, even more so with the texture pack, and even has a decent plot. However the map needs to be more challenging.
Well I opened the downloaded folder and first impressions say to me this map might be quite nice.I read the backstory, made some sense but I will wait until I'm in the game to make any calls on the plot. This map also comes with a custom texture pack that you play with, which I actually love.
So you wander around and you find signs asking you to open a Quest.txt in the main download folder. The whole quest system in this map actually worked very nicely and gave the map a very good RPG feel. I set out to conduct my first quest and got completley sidetracked by some of the creations in the map.
The map is infact quite open yet still has that nice linear feeling, it's a balance that most games strive to achieve. Around the world are many towns and secrets, I find myself exploring caves and sisabling monster spawners. Although it was too easy, the spawners can be spotted straight away and are easy to stop with only one torch. Maybe the spawners should be hidden?
These missions went on for a fair bit, but at times I found it was easy to get lost, and the only times of challenge was when night fell. Other then the difficulty issues the map was lovely and I reccomend you give it a go.
???some cool or bad map by VKRxbetterthanyou
This map is probably more bad then cool. It seems so unfinished and needs alot of work. THere are many bugs, unreadable signs, a boring look and no plot.
I started the map knowing it was going to be bad, because it downloaded in a millisecond and the creator said it was bad...it was worse than bad.
I'm sorry to say but you start of in a room with some signs, you start to read them but are crippled due to the horrible grammer and spelling, you then walk into a room with a spawner and you are given some cobblestone. I won't spoil anything for you about how to get to the next room even if you don't ever play it.
Next is a parkour lava stage, done in 5 seconds. Then you walk into a room with more signs, then you go to a room with more signs, then you go to a room with more signs. This last sentence wasn't an error thats all you do. Soon you find yourself bored to tears by the unreadable plot. You keep walking pulling levers that drop you into water and then you find yourself in a room with creeper spawners.
This can go two ways, a creeper spawns and blows up the spawner without harming you, or the entire room is blown up. I don't even remember what happened to randy or mandy or whatever the characters were called...
ADVENTUREAssualt of the Mobs by AndrasX
This map revolves around fighting and is fun for a litle while. It does average all round but isn't the nicest looking thing you have ever seen.
This map requires a mod to play which orignaly detetered me, however it made a large difference to the way the map played. So you start of in a boot camp, which looked a bit boring to me, oh but that wasn't it! In the end you have to die, it then sends you to the real spawn where the rest of the map is. THis was brilliant, I really loved this idea and I have not seen it before.
So you now find yourself in a perma-night landscape battling it out in storms against mobs. Meanwhile you are looking for and exploring different little secrets. You could play this map for quite a while, however I didn't have the time, so I went to the biggest thing I could see. A Volcano and a floating pyramid.
The map was indeed pretty tricky but some of the dungeons I went in were very hard but not in a original way. They consisted of rooms full of spawners, which is tricky but not in a good way. Sometimes you need to make a map challenging without overloading the player with mobs. Place less spawners bt put them in tricky hidden postions. However, it is a map revolving around fighting so I guess it's alright.
Overall it's a nice map and I could easily waste some time in it. However the sheer size of the landscape can be a bit boring to search for secrets and this means you lose interest after the obvious things are completed.
CREATIVE Project Johto by SPG
This recreation is on it's way to being very close to the real thing. Without certain texture packs though it looks a bit weird and the scale (which is perfect) has a negative effect on some of the looks.
I climbed up and out into the Pokemon world and my eye got a bit sore. The buildings look short and stubby and a little bit stupid - however they do look like the houses in the game. I guess the problem here is the scale, maybe it should be bumped up a bit to allow the houses to look better. Also some blocks here and there just look odd, like they shouldn't be used - like the diamond block path and the sponge.
I forget about these issues and go onto the first route. This is what really changed the game around for me. They have done it very beautifully. They have the long grass, the walls, th jumpable one way cliffs and even saplings that you 'cut' down to pass. Still at the back of my mind I wondered whether the map would be better if it wasn't flat and had some variation in the terrain. Who knows, maybe they will do that.
So far this map is pretty extensive but it still seems a little bare and that maybe some more foliage is needed to really make the map look great.
PUZZLE Escape the Facilityby guy1234567890
This is much more of a puzzle map then adventure map, however that doen't mean its a great puzzle map. The map is huge and has loads of puzzles and is bug-free, but the causes the map to be repetitive at points and have no plot at all.
Although this map is huge, it is very tedious and repetitive, Alot of puzzle types are repeated to what seems like just fill space. Although there were other puzzles that I did enjoy but overall even those got worn out when they were repeated in a slightly different way.
Also the map barely had a story, when you start you see rules and you know you have to escape but that is about it. Some more effort could be put in to developing a storyline. Atleast the signs had good grammer. So I walked out and there were some parkour puzzles, which got a bit annoying, atleast you had a checkpoint system - but not the greatest in the world.
However what really detracted from the maps experiance was the 'find the one single item in a stupidly annoying environment'. This became one of the more frequent challenges and of course was very tedious. I would have loved to see way more logic puzzles than the walk around a find stuff puzzles, if they can be called that.
The map was also a bit confusing and it was easy to get lost at times. However despite all this bad stuff, I did enjoy parts of you map, you just need to concentrate on having more of the original puzzles in a short map then one massive repetitive map.
PUZZLE The Forest of Silenceby Fangride
This map is worth giving a go. It's another all-rounder doing average in all sections but not great. It has room for improvement and has alot of potential.
First thing I did was get a map from the chest. I opened it up and I was like "HOLY %@#$!". It was a tree, the map was a picture of a really epic tree. Honestly that is something new that I haven't seen before. SO far I'm enjoying the map. At the start there was alot of parkour and mazes which I know aren't everyones favourite. However Fangride has implemented some of the jumps in very nice with the surroundings. At one point you find yourself in a cave and there is a course to the top but it's not obvious. Also at one point I was in a short maze of pig spawners??
So the entire map it seems has different sections or chapters as it's refered to in game. One place that was great was a room withs ghasts, and you had to run along a path of netherack. So the ghast could blow the path up, but there were safe spots which couldn't be blown up. That was a nice touch.
Overall the game was quite nice and there was some variety in puzzles. None of them were exceptionaly difficult but some where orignal and offered some fun, no matter how easy. It's a nice little map which is worth giving a go, but not if you don't like jumping and mazes... However one fault of the map is that it's too easy to get lost...that or I sucked at it...
SURVIVAL Survival Skyland by cetcepol
This survival map is quite nice and is a good way to save time. It also utilises new ways of goals and has a different long term objective than most. However it lacks difficulty and resources come very quickly.
As the world loaded I noticed that it looks very nice and natural, however you made it you've ddone a good job in making it pleasing. That was until I saw the Bedrock wall. I know that it maybe hard to not put the wall. But what you can do is clear more land so that normal Minecraft Terrain is way out of sight, that way you can really feel like you are in the air.
As for the survival part I believe you gave us coal a little too early, you could easily spot it almost straight away. As most survival maps go I must say yours is quite easy to start off and get ahead with technology. Passive mobs, wood, coal, even iron can all be aquired almost instantly.
Some of the goals you had to were pretty fun too, however they were pretty restrictive. When you ask them for example to make a fountain, let their imagination go wild, don't say it has to be within these fences, maybe say it has to be 'this' large but let them be as creative as they want. These apparent restrictions is what took away from the maps experiance for me.
As for the dungeon and the secret chest, you hid them quite well and it took a bit of time for me to find some, which I approve of. I don't like being bombarded with chests and items so frequently, a rare chest adds to the good fuzzy feeling you get inside when you loot it. Infact I never quite found your dungeon, I found many chests in caves but if the caves were you dungeons you could improve that. Otherwise it was a nice map. I actually like the end goal which was to build the diamond pick to escape, in that sense the bed rock wall worked well.
PUZZLE The Orbs of Illusion by AMVFanatic1081
This map has a very original plot, and as a WIP is decent. At the moment it still needs much improvent but is said to be only 60% complete.
I started the map and read a couple signs, then I was struck by an enormous amount of lag which I don't think I ever experiance unless someone spawns infinite stacks of TNT. I turn down all my settings and it was fine - weird. The first test was dodging arrow dispensers which was too easy because just to the left of the entrance you could walk in a straight line without being hit.
And then before I knew it I almsot died due to some pitfall trap. You walk towards a door and step on a pressure plate dropping sand since a piston moves. In my advice this was to easy to spot, the sand is sitting right there and is very predictable. Instead MCedit a stationary floating block of sand and place a pressure plate on it. That will get em! Then I realised you have to fall...into your mind DUn DUN DUUN!
Another issue is I found hidden chests which were empty, this may be because the map is a WIp but whatever, it just means -that to be fair- I have to take marks off. So I keep walking and honestly, I bored. The paths go on for ages and it gets so tiresome. Soon I reach a parkour section - but it was boring, easy and looked pretty dodgy. Try some stone or half steps! The next stage was what I suggested earlier, but if your quick it became very easy to avoid the falling sand. Then again I realised you have to fall...
Soon the levels became slow and a bit more tideous, you ended up having to test all the pressure plates, break all the blocks on the roof, mazes of water and lava, more parkour. In the end the puzzles were very similar.
ADVENTUREMM Crafting by vMpee
This map is sort of a Adventure map and has some great original ideas and concepts. However, the map mainly consists of rooms of spawners after spawners. It has no plot but is still worth looking at.
So it loads and the first thing I noticed is the signs have different coloured fonts! No way! I honeslty have no idea how this has been done but it's the first time I've seen anything like it. Another brilliant thing is that you pick your classes. This basically means you get to choose a certain box of supplies, ranging from ranger, hero to fisherman? In the end I picked pyromancer, heh heh.
First room has 2 spawners, easily stopped and I moved on. Next was a maze with 4 spawners and then there was 12. The rooms increased with diffuclty in a good way, and the flow was quite nice. After this you get to tame some wolves and continue on. At this point I would call this map a Adventure map. AT this stage though the monster spawners are just riduclous, and the map is challenging in a bad way. Soon the map became room after room of endless searches for the exit among monster spawners - it's safe to say it is repetitive.
:Coal:for the Challenges: They are fun to start with but can get boring quick. They are all basically the same just with different numbers of mob spawners.
ADVENTURE The Rogue Professor by mistermiracle21
This map uses a common plot and builds on it a little. However the map's exterior of constructions looks very boring and the challenge is minimal. You will also find yourself lost easily.
So you start off in a little hut, you grab some supplies and follow a map which is only partially filled. Wow, this map is getting very original here. Thats fine - guess you need to start somewhere. So i'm walking for ages and so far theres not much. Pumpkins. Nothing. Still Nothing. Water. Some big tower which looks a bit dodgy. K, now we're getting somewhere. Inside is a whole bunch of broken paintings, not sure of it's intentional. I go up stairs, 2 empty chests. I keep looking but basically every chest is empty. So far it's a bit of a dull adventure. I keep going and find a Pyramid, Suprise Suprise. Great it's empty...
The rest of the map continues like this. I break some blocks in the pyramid and find a way down. Jump Puzzle. Few Spawners. I start to explore some floating islands, stop a few spawners nothing huge. I find myself sidetracked by YogBOx generate dungeons. I start to lose track of what i'm doing.. I then realise that there are extra notes which help you find where to go. The best thing though was for the map to be clearer - you shouldn't need extra notes in a good map.
ESCAPE Shit happens , Life Sucks by Vampirion
This map again uses a very unoriginal plot, and then loses it almost instantly. The challenges get very boring and I would classify it as a Parkour map more then anything else. It also lacks Aesthetic appeal, and has some grammar issues.
So this map is made of different stages, each meant ot be harder then the rest. First up is the Bronze stage. This just a bunch of parkour stages, each a tad harder then the rest by overall they were pretty easy. Onto the Silver stage! This time it's, you guessed it mroe jumping. Except now there are a few ladders jumps too. NExt up, Gold Stage. YOu then go into a choice maze and you have to climb up long ladders, yawn much. They are very tall...
One of the ladders leads me onto the roof of the facility i think. There is nothing to do here, is it the end? Can't be, can it? I go back down and then up the other ladder. It leads me to stage 2 of gold. Was it just meant to waste my time? Was I meant to kill myself - who knows... Soon I get to the diamond stage or boss stage asd it is called. Just a huge hallway with loads of jumping parts. The thing is huged and it's filled with a mix of 1 bock or 2 block jumps all the way down. Then at the end, you go back! You have to go back and forth like 6 times, jumping the entire time! And then the creator has the urge to put a 3 block jump, both blocks level (impossible) on one of the paths. So you go all the way back and take the other side...
All I got was a room full of cake, grrr.
ADV Eronev Mansion Adventure by Jigarbov
This adventure map has been doing quite well and for a good reason. Some of the sights a brilliant and the mix between linear and open is fairly good.
I start off in a nice little beach, I can see some buildings here and there and I can tell that the creator has put some effort into making the buildings look nice. There are a few NPc's around, each not being very helpful. So I follow a little path and think 'thats whatI'm talking about'. Many of the maps I've reviewed don't get great marks when it comes to the looks. But ahead of me I can see a huge mansion - and it looks amazing. Some zones of the map are aboslutley amazing and most are hand made. However I would love to see this quality of work in all areas of the map. There is nothing worse than one average spot in an amzing map - it seems worse then it really is.
Hidden around there area are also lot's of chests, most of the time they have gold ingots - which is the scoring system. These chests are everywhere and I can't imagine how many ingots there are to collect. Maybe it's overdoing it? No. I think it gives the map that great exploration factor.
The map also lets you use levers and buttons etc, however you can only place them at redstone ore blocks. Which is a great idea as they stand out and are easy to spot. SO after collecting some supplies I enter the big mansion , which still looks amazing. Another thing I noticed is how well the map is staged. It is quite a open place yet the creator still manages to direct you to places in order before you get to new areas. This makes the map more interesting and also adds a RPG feel.
I soon find a sort of transportation room which takes you too different challenges or outposts. Each outpost has a certain objective to be completed. I found this quite good and doesn't make the map very cluttered. However I don't feel like it suits the theme of the map. I also would have prefered if the tunnels weren't just stone with ores in it. I would have liked the tunnel to be all of one block for Aesthetic purposes. As the map continued I felt like the creator got a bit slack in some sections. Some things seemed like they were just MCedited out of the Earth.
I soon find what is the first of some great redstone puzzles which use pistons. I abosultley love this but once again, it wasn't that original. This didn't detract from the experiance though - I just was expecting a bit more from the map after exploring some of it. However one puzzle was great, it reminded me of Portal too. YOu use pistons to direct water flow to take out torches. These once all gone let you advance. I must say that alot of work went into this map when it came to redstone. I won't explain all the puzzles and the rest of the map because I reccomend you play this map as soon s possible, it's a great fun!
This map is a must for redstone puzzle fanatics, the story has some great twists and turns. The map itself is amazngly large and you can waste a good hour or so playing it. Some of the builds are great but there are times in the map when the work seems to be a bit sloppy or rushed.

PARKOUR Around the Hills by Symphonym
My God, I have never played a better parkour map in my life. This is truly a great map, it takes the best of all parkour maps and mushes it together. Most people hate parkour but it's hard to go wrong with this map.
When downloading the map the first thing I realise is that there is a scoring system, thats new for Parkour maps, well atleast the ones I play. The map is also very huge and is expected to be over 1 hr and 30 min. Well it better be good for me to play it that long, and not all parkour maps are.
To start it wasn't great, I spawned with loads of stuff in my inventory and sufficating due to being inside a block. I let myself die to see if I can get to the proper start. I don't think it worked. I spawned in some random snow biome. So I had to walk around to find what I thought was the beggining. Then I spotted poles, and thought, hang on maybe I follow those - maybe it's intentional. This long walk if intentional is definetly not needed. Eventually I get to what I think is a proper start.
First up is some training, nothing great, nothing new learnt. The map also was great in that it gave you choices, it allowed you to skip little parts, take an easy way or do the hard way. It takes away some of the stress and in my experiance kept me playing longer. The map also didn't dwell on the same old jumps and it offered areas of respite where you took a break from the annoying jumps.
Also most parkour maps don't do this but this map didn't a great job of mixing the jumps and levels into the natural environment. It didn't look dodgy, most of the time, and has a nice open world feeling to it. It sort of reminded me of Fancy Pants. The difficulty was also great - I always took the hard way and it wasn't teeth grindingly frustrating it was just a good level. However I can imagine for a non-experiance player the levels can be very frustrating. YOu need a good understanding of the use of SHIFT key, but you can learn that at the start. Also all the noob levers are a great option to have.
In the end I found though the length of the map wasn't suiting. It just felt a bit too long for a PArkour map. It's not the greatest things in the world so it can be hard to stick through to the end. However there are many moments when you actaully get absorbed and enjoy youself- you want to finish, IKR?
The range of jumps and courses in this map was outstanding though. It ranged from ince jumping, to ladders, to trapdoors, to water jumps! I think almost every aspect of jumping has been used in this map which is great, but in the end tideous. The best thing is there was no lava jumping. Brilliant - lava gets old so quickly.
This parkour map has truly exeeded expectations and it's one of the best I've ever played. It's going to do great against the Parkour Criteria!
PARKOUR 5 Chapters by mikee
This parkour map isn't anything amazing but I did enjoy it for the short time I played it for. It had a bit of jumping variety, but not much and had a decent atttempt at using furnishing to create atmosphere. I also got 32 diamonds and an empty dispenser
So I'm flyng through the first few stages, which I guess is to be expected when the rooms start containing levers whihc must be pressed first. Nothing too new. However, there were some rooms when you could reach the levers without taking the path to them. This needs to be fixed as it shouldn't be possible. There were also some levels where you would use ites like water buckets, which is something nice and sort of new, aswell as though stationary water block courses. Then there was the odd cacti, trapdoors, fire jumping etc. The good thing was these weren't overused to death.
Then who knew - I was going to the nether. This was great and alot of maps take you to the nether but I haven't seen many parkour maps do the same. Another nice thing I noticed was that there is some attempt at furnishing in the rooms. This was nice but basically was only chairs and bookshelfs. I would like to see mikee take this further like Minecrafts Edge.
ADV/PUZZ Cube Inc by CWHunt456
This map is actually huge, maybe too huge. Infact I never reached the end, this may also be due to the confusing plot, slightly boring puzzles or shoudl I say jumps and the seemingly pointless zones and areas. GIve it a go and see how far you can make it before you get bored!
However upon reading the rules I wasn't as impressed. They were very.. whats the word - cryptic and confuzzling. yes, confuzzling. They are very contactdictive and make it hard to know whats right and wrong. Examples are you may not place or break blocks, unless you think you need to. This may confuse people and may make it easier for people to mess up and accidently cheat. Another thing which was quite confusing is the texture pack - some blocks are hard to indetify but you get the hang of it. Also the texture pack was missing things like rain textures etc.
So you eventually find yourself in a alrge building, have to go to different rooms, find stuff - go somewhere else, etc etc. Also this map is quite large so I won't comment on everything unless it's either very good or very bad. Later though I found another case of great seperate spawns. One area forces you to die - or possibly blackout etc, and wake up in some sort of chamber. This was very well done and I love it when people do this.
Some intersections, different rooms to fins buttons, cave exploring so far its fairly basic, but it is only the beggining. Parkour nothing special. Then I was shocked - there was way more plot to behold. This went on for a while and at times was a bit of a mouthfull. Also this map reminded me alot of Portal 2, maybe a bit too much?
Soon you need to do even more testing is required, and then there are caves, bubbles, mines, creepy houses, poison gas, then get this - apparently everything you come into contact with is a hallucination. YOu soon wake up then fall asleep. Now at about this time I got greatly confused. This mpa is highly story driven but it's just so damn long and confusing.
Unfortunely this wasn't the end of the bad things. This map was way too long, way way way to long. There is good material here to make many different maps, keep people interested.
There are instances of natural themed comabt like in caves which just don't make sense and I would leave out. This map is also alot like Portal and you can see some humour attempts extracted from it.
Also this map is very lag-worthy and it could crash your computer. There are huge pointless environments, so many long rail rides and alot of TNT explosions.
Also the map needs some more interesting and original puzzles/activities - there was way too much parkour. Some of the parkour was done well but there was way too much. Adv/Parkour much?
SURVIVAL Spherecraft #2 by Jep3
This map is at it's best another CTM, Spherecraft Clone/mixture. All it really adds is that it's underwater but we all know how that works out. All in all it's not one of this guys best maps - but I reccomend you try his other maps - much better.
This map is very annoying because the water is very murky, and I know the clear water mod is reccomended but it didn't make much of a difference and I often found myself just swimming to spheres with no clue of it's make-up.
This map also has challenge spheres which aren't that challenging. The first was a dungeon sphere. It had some zombies and other mobs and isn't that hard. The second was a destruction sphere? It had some parkour, which I built across. Do you really expect me to bother with it? At the end there was a self destruct button which barely did anything but let some lava in. Bit anti-climatic there. Then I found Challenge sphere 3, thats right 3. It was in it's simplist form a sphere with loads of creepers, needless to say I never saw the sphere again.
Materials where also very hard to locate and it would take quite a while to complete. However I have to admit that I got bored way before I found much and the map needs to be more interesting for me to last the entire length. it's worth trying out for an horu or less, or until you delete it...
ADV Through the Gate by Utenan
Some of the builds in this map are breath taking and the map is more of a Aesthetic journey then anything else. However there is no plot, no challenges, barely any signs.. Honestly I would just call this a creation. It's not an Adventure. It's still freakin awesome though.
There were huge pillars made with great detail, amazing fiery lanterns and lights hanging fromt he sky. Large ruined statues of warriors and dragons. Massive castles with grand stair cases and goblets of fire. Huge gates, no kidding, this map suprisingly has gates! Jokes... Cauldrons of boiling lava, spilling out into the abyss. Then you go into the nether and there is like the same thing except ruined and destroyed - very well done.
There were challenges along the way but they were very simple and boring and not even worth explaining but the sights were...I am speechless.
ADV/CREATIVE Legend of Zelda: Block to the Past by Peanuts363
This adventure/creation map is genius. It looks so much and feels so much like a good old Zelda game. The texture pack is perfect and adds great aesthetic appeal. However the map lacks some puzzles.
I've read some other reviews of this map and one guy pointed out this - it interacts with you alot like Eronev Mansion Adventure. Now if you can't remember that map, it's one of my favourites. Ok, back to the topic - this map engages you greatly, the NPC's, the details everything seems to have a purpose and plays a great part in keeping you exploring.
Now I must point out that I've never played a Zelda/Link Game. *Recoils. Yes, I said it, so I don't know if this detracted from the map but I don't think it did. You can still follow the adventure and have a glorious time, but I'm sure the ability to relate the map to the game would increase the experiance greatly. The story was pretty interesting and didn't really bore me, most of the time. However at points the story did seem weak. The ending was alright though and didn't fall to those flat bits like other sections of the plot.
Also, learning from my mistakes I played this map with the custom texture pack - this greatly improved the experiance and worked very well. THe mob textures were brilliant, the passives were normal but the aggressive guys looked very vintage and reminded me of the Zelda games which I never played... Now may be a good time to point out that there was alot of combat, which wasn't that bad but I'd love to see some puzzles, don't be afraid to be a little different to the original game.
The texture pack also made the blocks very similar to that of the game - which I googled. The pack is also included in the download, which is great seeing as it pleases those lazy 'one download please' sods. The pack is what really improved the map for me. ALso I liked how to light up areas you use your 'lantern' to set fire to wool blocks instead of torches, nice touch!
I think overall this map will be best rated as a adventure map, because it is way more then just a creation.
ADV Curse of the Monilith by Concrist
Not the best of the maps out there, to me it felt quite plain and boring. It was quite easy, unoriginal and the cliche of adventure maps - Complete The Three Temple of the elements, now find redstone torches!
Alright, lets jump right into it - this map uses instead of signs, voice overs and mp3 files which you listen to at various intervals in the map. I must say that these clips of audio aren't the best quality and there are some 'hiccups' in the speech, 'uhs' and 'stuttering' are a bit common but its nothing frustartingly bad. The voicing of characters has been done well and you gain some sense of the other NPC's personailities - a nice touch.
Very early on, you see this monilith which is the main aspect of the plot - its a very tall stone column with a creeper face - I am not particuly happy with this and I felt like the monilith could have looked much nice and more original.
Unfortunetly the plot follows a similar theme - its not that original to start of with. YOu need to get three tokens, from three different temples and guess what - yep ones the temple of fire, air, yadda yadda. Worse then that I have to say that the temples didn't actaully look that nice, especially the entrances.
I went to water first: Just a large maze, followed the left, very easy. Then at the end I couldn't get out, you open a trapdoor under some water, but you can't jump up into it to get out. So I cheated. Next was the temple of fire: Lava Parkour, how fantastic, so far the puzzle originality isn't exceptional.
Its now that I must say the frequency of the audio checkpoints are a bit too common, it gets annoying to constantly have to tab in and out every minute or so, you might want to consider compacting some of the audio for those gaps which last 5 seconds. Another thing I didn't really like was the tideous searches and walks to the temples, it gave me enough moments to become bored of the map, consider some individual maps, which give pointers to the next temples.
Ok, for the rest of the review/map I'll compact my thougts into short sentences. ooh Nether. Oh, more trials. Redstone torches, original. Boring Maze, Broken Spawners, Slow Sand Grrr. Wait DOes this Mincecart not actually go anywhere? Oops Nvm, I'm blind. PArkour, obvious trap. Very Easy Riddles. Um, missing levers.. GOt all the torches! Then a very anticlimatic end. I thought I was on the minecart ride to some sort of boss, but then i pass over a pressure pad, keep going I turn around to see glowstone blow- not the best 'core' when your in the nether.

This map leaves me speechless time and time again. It is almost flawless and everything is beautiful. It marries all different map types together so well and is perfectly challenging. It only falls short on it's plot.
This map was actually quite difficult and was very ingenious. There were many traps, some were obvios but very well set out. I've heard other people say this and it's true, some of these traps are like the mighty Vechz. Much effort went into this and all for a great result. Progression throught the map was done well and the combat steeped up in a great manner. However what I felt was a nice challenge was the survival aspect where you upgrade your own stuff from wood to diamond, if you had the patience! Puzzles were also very challenging and done well they all used redstone, combat and ingenuity to their full potential. Once again very well done.
The map itself was beautiful and had a lovley sense of freedom even in it's linear gameplay. It was also very nice and good looking, but in a simple fresh and clean way. Nothing was an eyesore and looked out of place, everything seemed to be just right - its hard to explain how great this was. Your giving Eronev's Mansion Adventure a run for its money!
However after saying all this they was one thing which brought the map down. It fell short on multiple occasions and wasn't touched on that much. Story sections were very short, usually only a couple of signs, too little even. The backstory was quite nice though but I would love to see it touched on more. The story was fun, but too abrupt and short.
