My brother suggested that you could make a flower pot. It could be crafted like this:

where is a single brick block. Notice how it's similar to a bucket. You could use a instead for a red flower. Maybe you could also use a cactus.
I can see why you'd want something like this, but I'm not so sure exactly how useful this would be to have in the actual game, as it is purely for looks.

Well, some items are supposed to look decorative.
Brick is decorative.
The Solid Gold,Diamond, and Iron blocks are decorative.
Minecraft would be crap if there were no decorative blocks.
Bookshelves are decorative.
Cacti are decorative.
Many more are decorative, too.
What I meant was that I would rather see Notch implement things we can use into the game before he makes things like flower pots which cannot be used except to look nice. I'm not saying It should never be put in, I'm just saying that I wouldn't really be anxious for it.

Alright, it seems somebody bumped my thread already, but anyway I think there should be a dirt block in the middle. I mean dirt doesn't have any crafting uses right now, and it just makes sense, right? It's a common-enough block that it won't make it any harder.

You've heard of creative mode, right?
It would be a lot more decorative than the flower itself.
Instead of using , u should use the actual "bricks."
You know, the thing that looks like a red ingot.
Pretend that =1 brick.(NOT THE BLOCK, BUT THE INGOT LIKE THING)

There's a flower-pot.
A brick block is just too big to use for such a small item.

Noted.
I would replace the brick with clay, for a clay pot :biggrin.gif:
