Hi,

I've just started playing minecraft, and I'm having a very stupid basic problem: I can't figure out how to put down blocks after I've picked them up. I have friends who don't have this problem when using minecraft on PC's, so I guess this is a MAC specific problem.

Does anyone know how to put down blocks on a MAC ?  (ie. what the key or mouse sequence I need is)

Many thanks in advance...

Hey,
I had the same prob when i started on a mac but i later got a pc. Hold ctrl when your trying to place a block. I recomemd you get a pc mouse as well, it makes it quite a bit easer.

Without a mouse, hold control when clicking, and if you don't want that, all you have to do is go to your settings and set a right click option.

Try Ctrl+Click. It's a Mac specific problem because Macs only have one button on their mouses. I hope that helped, I don't own a Mac myself, I just read that somewhere. (In Minecraft, placing blocks is right click, and Macs only have left click. Right click on Macs is Ctrl+click)

This is massively false. Mac mouse supports right click (and always has), you just have to turn it on.

Open System preferences and click on "Mouse" in the "Hardware" section. There should be an option for "Secondary click" or something similar. Enable that. You can now right click!

If you have a mouse that didn't come with your Mac (like, if you bought a logitech mouse for example) you can already right click without having to enable that option.

What model do you have, and what mouse?
If it's a magic mouse there is a right click (maybe turned off in the settings), if it's a trackpad, hold two finger click = right click.
In all cases, CTRL + click = right click.
