Taya's PassItOn Map!

What is a PassItOn map?

View PostHrd2GtProds, on 27 August 2011 - 03:41 PM, said:

A Pass It On is a sort of game, in which you download a map, and re-upload it after a certain amount of time playing and surviving in the map. After that, a next person may download the modified map, and after several downloads, the map will grow bigger and bigger.

What he said. :)

The Rules:

1. Do not destroy any buildings. You may expand the starting house, however.
2. Only keep the map for 2 hours or less. If you keep it longer, your post will become invalid and will be ignored.
3. When you are ready to save the file and "PassItOn", make sure to put everything in your inventory into a chest in the starting house. If it doesn't all fit, make a new chest. Isn't that hard.
4. Do not destroy the signs in the starting house.
5. Don't be greedy! Replenish the wood, coal, iron, etc if you take some.
6. No TNT. I know it does have some practical purposes, but in this map, please don't use it.
7. Don't use mods that add blocks or mobs. They corrupt the save unless EVERYONE has that mod. So no Mo' Creeps and Weirdos, PlasticCraft, ClaySoldiers, etc.
8. No flying.
9. No spawning items.
10. You can play on any difficulty, but don't lure creepers to any buildings/farms/etc.
11. You MAY play on multiplayer if you wish.
12. You MAY play this map again, but only after someone else takes it and returns it.
13. Read the rules again. (Yes, this IS a real rule!)

IF YOU DON'T SPAWN IN THE STARTING HOUSE:
If for some reason you don't spawn in the starting house, do /goto house (if you have SinglePlayerCommands). If you don't have SPC, you should spawn somewhere near it. Go to the sand area with the small fenced-in farm.

How to make your save downloadable for singleplayer:

IMPORTANT: YOU NEED WINRAR/7ZIP/ETC

1. Go to your saves folder. If you don't know how to do that, how the hell did you play the map?
2. Right click the folder that the map is in (it should be Taya's Edition or something) and click "add to archive"
3. Name it PassItOnTayaEdition.
4. Click OK.
5. Go to mediafire.com and "drag and drop" the .rar or .zip file in to the green box.
6. Let it upload, then click "Copy Link".
7. Post your link in this topic! You're done!

What to put in your post!

First, just say TAKEN when you download it. When you're done, edit your post and strikethrough the TAKEN so it looks like TAKEN. Add these things:

  • Time played
  • What you added
  • Any problems
  • Download link (most important!)
  • Anything else worth mentioning

Example Post:

TAKEN

-Played for an hour and a half
-Added some wood, coal, and iron to the chest. Made my own house!
-No problems
-(link here)
-I like this map! Really cool! :)

Thanks for playing!
