so i always loved how texture packs make cobble took kinda brick like, and wished i could make blocks that aculy look like that, so i thought of how!

The Stone Cutter: the stone cutter would "cut" stone blocks into more suitable looking building materials, it would be fueled by red stone and crafted like this:

http://minecraftreci...tions/62824.png
the red stone to power it, the pick ax to break up the blocks, and the sword to aculy cut the shapes, it would take half the time to do 64 then a furnace, and use up 10 red stone
list of blocks it could cut:
stone
cobblestone
moss stone
sandstone
obsidian
iron blocks
gold blocks
diamond blocks

leave what you think :), if you want me to add a pol just say so, otherwise, thanks for reading! please support!

Notch is adding stone bricks in 1.8. One of the reasons I'm waiting for it.  ;)

Don't bump a minute after posting.

As for the idea, I like the idea of making brick versions of each the major blocks, but I'm not sure about adding a whole process soley for making these bricks.

If you can make it in a crafting table, then I support.

I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death, Nor known to life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works

1 never tell someone to not bum my topics lol
2 i thought that crafting these would make sense, and would make it too easy, what im sugesting only takes one redstone, 5 iron, 6 cobble, and 3 sticks to make, then to use it you just need to find 2-3 ore blocks

Please don't try to be a admin / mod and tell people what they should do or not. He did the proper thing rather than making a new thread.

As for this idea this is something they need to look into for the pc version. Vanilla minecraft is not being played much anymore. People want a more in depth crafting system. Hints why so many people are playing Feed The Beast. The crafting system for minecraft really has not changed since it started. The stone cutter for making stone blocks and tools would be a nice addition. It could e used to craft the stone parts of the stone weapons and tools then the crafting table to assemble them.

Unless it is still somehow relevent and you have something to share that is important. Which he did.

No support, though, I just don't think we need it.

If this were to churn out something similar to red power to micro blocks then I would be all for it. On the condition that instead of redstone it is powered by coal.
Humanity is the creation of Logic and Emotion, Calculation and Imagination, Cold Analysis and Blind Faith. This is why I believe it is a strange Human that would prize one while shunning the other. For a calculator can do math just as well as you, but a calculator can not use math to make the world a better place.
