Force update then install the mods you want.

Before logging in on the client you can go to options and select Force Update, this will redownload the original jar file and thus remove all mods you have installed.

If it's a pure modloader mod, you can open your jar and delete the mod_ .class

make sure you make a back-up before installing a mod
