MinecraftError
Find and easily paste your errors to pastebin

Tool doesn't work? That means you do not have Java installed in your system PATH variable, it is more your fault than my fault.

I was bored and just messing around with Netbeans and decided to poke onto #Risucraft on Esper.net and the first thing I noticed was how so many people didn't know how to find why their Minecraft wasn't loading so I decided to create a program that finds that output for you. The program is simple to use, just extract the files and run MinecraftError.jar and you will see the simple GUI: Posted Image
Just press Launch Minecraft and it will get the Java launcher (works on Mac and Windows but is made for Linux, its used because its the best way to get output from Minecraft) from Minecraft.net. As soon as it downloads Minecraft will start like it usually does and all you have to do is login the way you would normally (if your paranoid about keyloggers just leave your password blank and press play offline) and all your errors/output will be recorded to the MinecraftError screen.
Once your done just press "Paste Error" and it will provide you a pastebin link with all your errors in it.

Why do I need this?
If you installed a mod and its not working (when you start Minecraft you get a black screen) just run this program and post the pastebin link somewhere helpful such as on the thread where you got the mod!

DOWNLOAD
This will work on Windows, Mac and Linux, just extract and run the jar file.

Glad you like it. This should be much easier to use to find errors than the other methods, especially for beginners.

I'm working on making it work without Java in your system's PATH probably going to be a little tough but will make the program much easier to use.

I'm getting the same thing. Was recommended to use this program to capture an error i'm having with ModLoader, but all I get from MinecraftError is "You have alread posted that error and/or the output is blank! Also make sure that the Minecraft window is closed before you paste!"

Considering this is from a fresh install of Minecraft and it was giving me this message from the first run of MinecraftError... seems something's wrong with your tool.

The reason you are getting that error is exactly what it says, your Minecraft is not giving any output to the code. This could be caused by many things the major reason is not with my code but your computer because you do not have Java in your PATH. if you are getting that error please look at this.

Heres a thinker, just downloaded this program.
Running Mac OSX 1.5.8 up to date Java

I've been having trouble with a mod crashing my client when I try to open a world, "saving chunks", yet when I click "Launch Minecraft" the mod no longer seems to crash my game and in fact is now seemingly working fine.

I am curious as to why this would be happening o.O? When I click launch minecraft, I do notice that the Launcher is not the same one that I get when I click on the minecraft.app. (I know this because my launcher is currently having troubles with broken html along the top, and the launcher that shows up when I click Launch Minecraft there is no html showing)

Any help would be awesome!

Checking for Minecraft launcher (minecrafterr.jar) in C:\Windows\system32
Error: Could not find launcher!
Downloading from Minecraft.net...
Download failed...
Download successful!
Minecraft launcher found!
Starting launcher...

And then nothing... No screen, no errors, no nothing. Java is in my environment variables.
