More info is needed. A NullPointerException is pretty much the most generic error you can get. It just means it was looking for something and didn't get it.

well the minecraft error box disappeared before I could copy it (which is strage as it is the first time that happened) but here is my multiMC error report. I will try to get another minecraft error

Pelirow: Dungeon Defenders isn't quite what I'm looking for, at least from the gameplay videos. The vanilla box is nice and all, but I refuse to acknowledge a game that pretends to be many things while not actually being any of them. Something's gotta change.

Levi_Kornelsen: Both, definitely. I won't be creating content just for the sake of creating content either. There is nothing in the game I won't consider breaking as well. Your birch trees are about to get skinnier. Posted Image

I plan on making the world quite a bit higher and shrinking the size of blocks, first of all. After that I'll need punji traps, saw blades, log rolling devices, things like that.

Keybounce: Intelligent AI? Mobs working together against you? Hoyesh!

Qwertygiy: The invasion mod is a step in the right direction. The problem with that is actually that the player doesn't have enough options to deal with mobs. Swing a sword (lame) and shoot a bow (overpowered) and build some walls, maybe place lava. That should also serve as a nice lesson: nothing is indestructible.

Mmm, after hearing all your comments above, I enjoy the mindset you have and I'll be looking forward to when/if you share some of your ideas! I'm particularly curious about what mobs you're thinking of creating and how much you'll try to enhance the AI and fighting versatility of the vanilla mobs, if at all. Also quite curious to see how much of vanilla you'll rip to pieces making mDiyoCraft. Posted Image

Again, good luck with your future modding endeavors and I hope you rekindle your fun in modding again!

First, try to put walls like that in spoiler tags like this: (spoiler) your text here (/spoiler)
Except use brackets instead of parenthesis.

Second, that's not a crash report and it doesn't indicate the problem. If I had to guess though, take out ModloaderMP and try it again.

If that doesn't help, I'm afraid you'll need to find how to properly post crash reports (you can google it to find out) and try to describe what exactly is happening to cause problems. Black screen?

3) It must be compatible with, or have a patch for, Optifine. My computer is crap, so without Optifine I get about 2 FPS with any major mods. Posted Image

This I utterly agree with =p.

Also did you know that forge now has its own modloader built in called FML (going by the initials it must have been a pain to develop)

any particular reason why the infiblocks, orizon, and florasoma parts of this mod refuse to load? I got modloader, modloadermp, forge 108 (installed in that order), and optifine HD AA A7. I also got the 4096 id fix but that too doesn't seem to load. One more thing is this compatible with tekkit mods like IC2, BC and redpower2?

I have started the process for unlimiting world height. Such a change means a change to the save format, terrain generator, and all of the supporting code. I've already changed 10 files and I'm just getting started! This could take awhile...

Qwertygiy: I have studied both literary criticism and game design to know how to weave an entire world into the game. Suffice it to say that Minecraft has some glaring holes in the character department that I intend to fix. Also, I will have things done with in-game documentation, none of this nonsense about memorizing crafting recipes and trying to figure out how the hell potions work.

I was considering adding some of the speed enhancing features of OptiFine anyhow. That thing's been bloated with things that slow it down as of late.

Balthasarx It had FML on servers before I left, now it has it on both sides.

futuramafan: You're doing something wrong, the likely cause being that almost no mods need modloader mp anymore. Also, I despise tekkit. My mods work with each of those separately, but I refuse to work with people who steal mods and edit them for whatever purpose.

Agreed entirely. Despite what Notch may claim, in-game documentation in a game like this is a lot better than having to read a community-run wiki to figure out basics such as what the heck seeds and saplings are for. (It took me a week of gameplay before I realized that you could replant trees when I first started, and I had no idea why I'd want to replant all the tall grass I was clearing out of the way for my construction.)

I glad you returned to the modding. Posted Image Posted Image
If I beg nicely, you can bring back the freezing powers of the ice tools and weapons, and you can make new weapons (halberd, throwing daggers, battle hammer and battle axe, flail) like "InfiWeapons"?
And sad to hear that the Metallurgy mod comes just for Minecraft 1.3. Posted Image

So can anyone answer the problem? It seems like many people have the problem. Like I said before me and my friend simply crash randomly while on my server when it is set up for inficraft. We both have the mods (I think correctly) and the mods are on the server (again, I am pretty sure they are correct) and the mods work. but the random crashes.
Spoiler:
I have tried everything I have read that could help this. removing the ore processing, creating an "mDiyo" folder in the .minecraft, using that newest 4096 fix. they seem to have helped the crashing a bit, but haven't stopped it.

Here's the weird thing, the crashes seem to happen exponentially faster the more we play at a time. It started only being about every 10 minutes, then they got to about every 10 seconds for my friend.
After some of the "fixes" i applied to my client I had a good half hour of playtime before a crash. Please help I really want to have some fun with this.

I don't have an absolute answer but if it is anything similar to what my friends and I have been experiencing on our server then you will probably want to turn off mobs from the server properties and try to destroy and fill in any slime pools you know of, I don't have any proof besides word of mouth and my own observations but I think the pools tend to devolve into slimes spawning, killing each other or drowning or suffocating and it leads to an excessive number of entities from all the splitting into smaller slimes and the items dropping and the server has trouble conveying that information leading to the connection timing out.

Again no absolute proof but things tend to fail for us in the event that something like another item is dropped or if wild animals happen to also be in the area before all the slimes start splitting.

Slime pools are in orizon right? So just no orizon means no (or less) crashes?

4096 Fix support is now native in Forge! http://lexmanos.no-i.../job/Forge/137/

What with the changes to remove ModLoader as a component in Forge and all, I do believe it's finally time to update the modpack. I'm not particularly thrilled about updating the base mods at the moment; those will find their way in tomorrow, as well as the complete package.

Pelirow: I may just add something for the player running out of air at high altitudes... but maybe not. In terraria you can jump all the way into space without worrying about it.

greatestdan: I do have a solution to your problem - update to the latest version of Forge. It has 4096 support, finally!

WolfGeek101: There's no kill unless it's overkill!

Also, I have a few designs for basic traps laying around right now. One of the simplest involves sharpening bamboo into punji sticks, slapping it in the ground on a wood board, putting a trapdoor on top of it, and then laying some sticks/leaves on top so that when you step on it you end up falling to your doom. That should make you pay more attention around someone's base, eh?
