Just a list of mods that can be used both in singleplayer and mutliplayer but do not add content (items, blocks, and mobs) to the game. If you know of any good ones not on this list, feel free to link them in a reply.

Just added a new mod to the list, Inventory Tweaks.

Leave feedback about mods at those topics, and remember, if you want more mods added to the list, you going to have to ask me :D

Reorganized it.
If you have anything to say, please post it in the comments. Thanks!

Hopefully this won't go unnoticed, and some people will see it now that I have bumped it :D

A few I use.

ControlPack - Auto-tool, Auto-Mine, Auto-Run and much more.
What's my lightlevel - Does what it says and more.
Too many items - Doesn't really need any explaining, does it? Posted Image
Rei's minimap - Same thing here, awesome and well-known.

Nice Initiative! Keep 'em coming people. Posted Image

Oh, and by the way. Check with the servers you play on what is and isn't allowed before installning client-side mods. It would suck to get banned for cheating and lose everything you built now, wouldn't it. Posted Image

I 100% agree also try Damage Indicators, chatbubbles, battlemusic, Dynamic Lights, Convienent Hotbar, Hats, MCCapes, Update Checker mod, TukMC, presence footsteps and MAtmos.

All Client side, Forge, SMP, useable on any bukkit/vanilla server.

Alright, I added a few of the mods you guys suggested, I'll add some more later. I also redid the whole thing and neatened it up a bit, although you can still see the old post if you so desire.

You should definitely add rei's minimap. It is the best client side mod ever!

You should add my mod Zyin's HUD. It's kind of similar to Zombe's modpack.

Chat Bubbles? One of the best client side mods.

Two most essential independent client mods to me are minimap (Rei's minimap or Zan's minimap/Voxelmap) and Damage Indicators (these are unitframes for mobs essentially).
If you're not running a minimap mod, or love cave exploring but keep getting lost, I'd also try MagicYarn.
Recipe Book is super useful if you have 1001 mod and can't keep all the recipes straight.
