Hello everyone! I was wandering if anyone knows what condition it takes to grow mushrooms (because ima fan of mushroom stew) and how long it takes? the stew is very handy if you are low on health and restores a lot of hearts. Thanks everyone.

To sum it up mushrooms need to grow properly:
- No direct sunlight.
- No light higher than 12 units.
- Opaque blocks next to the block that the mushroom is on to spread.
- Multiple mushrooms to decrease growth time.
You should build your farm underground or entirely surrounded by blocks with little lighting. And if you plant multiple mushrooms be sure to leave spaces between each planted mushroom in order for them to spread. I would use dirt as the floor in order to keep a farm feel.
