I wish shadows actually looked like this in Minecraft.

Gmod is a Half-Life² mod. Not related to minecraft at all ... ask google!

When/If you get a better machine *cough* desktop *cough* you might want to check out the "Unbelievable Shaders" mod. Adds dynamic shadows, FoV and some other tasty features.
