[Surv] Floating Island Survival (Over 40,000 downloads!)

What is Floating Island Survival?
The map consists of 120 individual islands, varying from small to huge. Each island has ores of varying quantity and type. Dungeons can be found scattered throughout the map. The idea is to survive for as long as possible!



RULES:
- No cheating (this includes admin commands, inventory edits or the SinglePlayerCommands Mod)
- Once you die, its game over. You may continue playing, but it wont count towards your score.
- Difficulty must be at LEAST easy!

Download:
There are now TWO versions of the map! Hardcore and Easy.

Easy Mode (Water under the islands!):

Texture Pack:
To download the texture pack used in the trailer video, head over to Painterlypack.net and hit the "share" image. Then paste the code below to download the pack. Save the zip file to the minecraft texture packs folder!

There is a scoreboard, but you will only be added if you provide a video playthrough (so we can be sure you don't cheat!)

Haha, very difficult, love it. Didn't really score anything, zombie landed on my head.... Good map though. :)

Nice man. I am actually going to do a LP right now if you don't mind for this. I love the concept and a few of my subscribers wanted me to do a survival thing on a floating island and this looks perfect. Hope you don't mind! :D

Interesting map, did you use a map generator?

and also appreciate the direct download link, not that anyone should use it. :D

No, all made by hand :) (with the help of MCEdit :P). I posted a direct link because I dont want to FORCE people to go through adf.ly, but it would be nice if they did :) Also, some universities/public places block adf.ly :)

Now I've played a floating island map before- which i adore- but just from the pictures of this- it looks gorgeous! I have to download it and give it a try. Just looks fantastic!

I just played it with my friend and we survied ( or I at  least) for about 5 days and then I got creeped. we recorded it all.

:) thanks. I'm thinking of making a custom painterly texture pack for this map too

So I have a question, when I download this map it's not in a currently playable download, for example I download it and open it and there are three folders, floating, data and region, there's no level.dat_old. Do i need to rename the level.dat in the floating folder to level.dat_old? If so, what about the extra files that are in the floating>region folder?

No, you simply need to place them all in a new folder, and place that in your sages folder :) you do not need leve.dat_old :) the region folder is for servers :)
