The most unique map so far... It was made from a greyscale image of a hurricane. Please ignore the tall thin columns jutting out of the ocean, they are caused by the bad image.
Enjoy!

An isometric picture would do us good.

And it doesn't work for .mine levels.

Correct in every respect. It's frightening. Unexpected. Frankly, a total utter splattering mess on the carpet.
But I am certain — one hundred percent certain — that we can work this out. Trust me. I'm the Doctor.

Firefox freezes for 20 seconds when i load the map. I never had that problem on any other map.

So, yeah, it IS unique. It has a unique problem.

I dont get it, where is the hurricane? All I see is some kind of stonemap with lava instead of water.

EDIT: I get it, but a hurricane is usually in the air >_>
I'm still wondering how the creepers gained the ability to climb ladders...

I don't see a hurricane, but I like it :D

Mind if I use this on my server at some point?

Have you guys forgotten the level downloader and the ability to dump levels with the WoM client? Agh.

that doesn't look like a hurricane, more like a bomb site where a bomb was launched upon. :D

Level downloader doesn't work, because it was my first option, I hate WoM and it's client, therefor I don't use it.

You can rename .mine to .dat, they're the exact same.

Actually they are not.

.mine files contain data towards inventory, health left and score. .dat levels don't. thus causing the failure for a .mine level (even renamed) to be turned into an isometric map this way.

Notch will probably make a converter for us so we can use v0.31 maps in the future.

Cool idea, doesn't look so good unless you are isometric, mainly just a bumpy rocky land....althought if you made it smaller and put it abovve the ground... Also you should make a spiral galaxy one.

Really? Really now? I don't care if you do or don't like them. They have an efficient tool that works without any issues. That's like saying you're going to refuse help from someone simply because they aren't of the same religion or race as you are. It's silly and downright childish to think like that.

Just to point out, WoM first of all requires registration to their website to even use, so it's not exactly free. Secondly, Notch mentioned in his blog that the features on the WoM servers kinda hurt what he hopes to develop in the future. Also the tool isn't that helpful because alternatives will be on the way. So I'd rather not go through a workaround to get something as simple as a isometric image if it'll be available and free in the future.

I have more reasons to shy away from WoM and their server, especially about what goes on there.
