Works with 1.7.3 and bellow
This Program is in early beta, but does almost everything it will do. The program simply creates a batch file on your computer (in your %appdata% folder (memcraft sub folder) with the configuration you choose. This will enable you to use more memory while in Minecraft.
The program is very small, because there are no pictures yet, and the custom launcher isn't finished.
Feel free to scan it hundreds of times with anti virus scanner :-) its clean :-)
Sorry for the boring UI. It will be improved soon, just making sure everything works before i go changing the UI.
Simple to use. First find your Javaw.exe file using the file browser in the program. (it may find it automatically, but this is a work in progress)
then select your minecraft.exe (.jar files might work, but untested as of yet)
then select memory allocation from your available RAM (currently no upper limit)
Then click create.
A file will be created in %appdata\memcraft
it will be called mem.bat
run this file in order to run minecraft at the higher memory settings.
you will have to run from this file every time you want minecraft at selected memory settings.
feel free to move this file to the desktop
This is really in Pre-beta stages; I will help all i can with errors you get, as its only been tested on 2 computers. You will be required to install the latest .net framework during the setup process, and then it "Should" work.
as i said, i can't stress enough that this is PRE-BETA So there is a high likelihood of error messages, but you should end up with a .bat file in the end.
please post any feedback you have.
NOTE: When you've clicked the Create button, it will seem like nothing has happened. Just open your %appdata\roaming\memcraft% folder, and you will see a .bat file. In the future you won't need to do this, as there will be a desktop launcher that will launch it for you.
NOTE 2: You will more than likely have to install the .net framework. The installer may do this for you.
1) Finish and release launcher, this will be a .exe that will launch the game in higher memory mode
2) Make the program look nicer; planning on adding images and backgrounds.
3) add more functions.
