CapeCraft

Want to Look epic? Want to impress your freinds? Now you can with CapeCraft! You can make your own cape, or browse the wiki for a cool one! You can even look like a Mojang employee! The mod is compatible with Minecraft v1.1.0. Note, for other people to see it in SMP, they need the mod too! Upload a Cape here.

You can donate if you want the mod to stay alive! It is not required, but helps a ton!

Install:

Windows:

• Install Zombe First
  
• Install 7z or WinRar if you don't have it
  
• Open Run and Type %Appdata%
  
• Open .minecraft
  
• Navigate to bin
  
• Open minecraft.jar in 7z or WinRar
  
• Drag xb.class into the jar and delete META-INF
  
• Now, you need to upload a cape at the website.
  
• Start Minecraft and have fun!

Mac:

• Install Zombe First
  
• Navigate to /User/Library/Application Support/minecraft
  
• Navigate to bin
  
• Right click minecrafr.jar, select Get Info
  
• Change "minecraft.jar" to "minecraft.zip"
  
• Click use .zip
  
• Unzip the created zip file, delete it once finished
  
• Drag in xb.class and delete META-INF
  
• Right click the "minecraft" folder, add .jar to the end of the name
  
• Click use .jar
  
• Upload a cape at the site
  
• Start Minecraft and have fun!

Making a Cape

Edit this in any image editor(Like Photoshop, GIMP, PDN, MSPaint, etc) Make sure you use the same dimensions and such, or it will not work!

They are hard coded, but I am working on custom cloak support. I am trying to read a direct link from a .txt file. It is kind of working, but I need to rewrite the code to make it more functional. I will hopefully have a version out very soon!

There is already a mod that supports both cloaks, ears and HD avatars, but I can't remember teh name

The last cloak mod I found (last week) was updated for 1.3 i think. So this is currently the only cloak mod out here. Which I'm thankful of.

But I'll still wait to download until you've made custom texture support.

That mod is outdated, so I made this one! I think it is still 1.6.6, unless you are talking about the Minecracked one, which I am not sure if it is safe or legal.

The cloak will be put on any photo sharing site like Flickr, Photbucket. Anything that gives a direct link to the 64x32 photo will be capable. My idea is having a text file in your .minecraft folder, like custom.txt where you copy the link in. The cloak will appear on multiplayer, but others will not see it unless they have the mod

Why not add the custom texture in the minecraft.jar? That would make it able to make custom cloak texture.
