In singleplayer, if I have the map set to round, I get these weird comma looking things in between each letter of my text. Makes it a little tough to read signs. Setting it to a square map removes this problem.

There's no way to fix it in multiplayer. Even disabling the map from the options won't help it.

I really like this mod; however, I have a few suggestions:

1. The map overlaps TooManyItems when you open your inventory (See image below). A simple fix to this problem would be to make the minimap automatically hide whenever you open the inventory.

2. This mod saves its settings in %APPDATA%\.minecraft\rei_minimap it would be cleaner and more consistent with other mods to save the settings to %APPDATA%\.minecraft\mods\rei_minimap (Also it would be nice if custom key bindings were in this folder)
3. This is more of a personal preference, but i find the cross hair on the round map is too thin. It is difficult to see during play. This is a quick fix in Photoshop.

Hell yeah it is! Please do so so people can use it combined with other mods^^
Some tips: waypoints! Nethermap! cavemap! font bug fix!  (dunno is the last one of conflicting classes? Think so...)

Btw you already delivered beautfiul work, keep up the good stuff :P

Found a small bug with the breaking animation, the block you are breaking lights up

just a small annoying bug that i would like to inform you of

it might just be the mods im using, oh well
awesome mod too :D

Tested last night on my setup. Simply amazing. Like myself, i suspect this will be the new minimap that everyone will be using. Looking forward to the new features. Especially entity indicators. The full size map is a welcome feature, loving it.

Maybe make it so that serverowners can decide if they want thier players to be able to use those features or not!
Or restrict them to OPs

Ver nice Map, runs alot smoother or equal than the other ones i tested and does look WAY better!

does this mod as laggy as zan's minimap? because when i use zan's, my Minecraft's fps loses 30-40 frames

Ive never tried Zans before; but this runs really smooth.

The new version works great. All the font problems and texture problems from the first version are fixed.

Can't wait until you release the entity radar. That's one thing I never liked about Zan's minimap. I didn't have the radar.

is there some instructions on how to install? I have absolutely no idea what to do with the reifnsk folder. Do i drag that into the /minecraft/mods or do i take the minimap folder and drag that into the minecraft.jar?

For which one?

For modloader version: Simply drop the .zip into .minecraft/mods/

For other version: Exact the zip and Drop the .class and folder into the minecraft.jar

Awesome Minimap! I love the richer texturing and more in-depth options like the RGB color sliders for waypoints.

one thing though: If possible, I'd love to be able to make the map bigger when it's in the smaller form. I tend to play at full screen so it is pretty tiny in the upper corner.

Anyway, fantastic mod.

The entities radar works great so far,I love how monsters are red and passive mobs are white. It's just confusing when i think there's a monster in front of me and it's actually underground. But when i change it to a circle, it just adds an outline of a circle but still keeps the square shape. Is that intended? Other than that this is really great. Good job
