Hello,
I have a little big problem I couldn't solve myself.
I've updatet Minecraft to v1.2.5, also MCPatcher to 2.3.6_03 and got the latest Texturepack Glimmar's Steampunk.v5 32x.
I played with Steampunk TP since MC 1.8/1.9, and never I had a problem. But yesterday the Problem starts.

If I know how to post some screenshots I would do it, but I don't know how to do in this forum. And how I make a "Spoiler" in my Posts?
I have the Screenshots in my PC and not somewhere else.

Till I got the answer, I try to discribe my Problem.

1. Upgrading MC
2. Copy Texturepack to Folder Textures
3. Start MC, Change to the new Steampunk Pack
4. Start playing
5. Some Textures are "broken". ;-)
6. RTFM how to install... (damned, I'm stupid)
7. download latest MCPatcher
8. Delete inside bin Folder minecraft.jar
9. Start MC (got the latest Version)
10. End MC and start MCPatcher and Patch with the right Settings (HD Texture, HD Text, etc.)
11. End MCP and start MC, and choose Steampunk Pack... "What the hell...?" Some special German letters are missing (ä, ö, ü and ß), and the Text is nearly unreadble.
12. Start again with RTFM and find the mistake
13. Delete again the JAR Files inside bin Folder
14. Start MC to get the latest Update and choose after this the Steampunk Pack
15. End MC and start MCP with all needing settings to Patch.
16. End MCP and start MC again... the same problem, but the Text are now readble, but odd.
17. Steps 13. to 16. I redo about 5 Times, I try it in different ways, so copy the texturepack while the game is running, with no HD Text (DON'T do it!). Only one time I got it right, but the MOD's TMI, Rei's Minimap are not integrated. I'll try many ways, but I couldn't solve this Text-Problem.

Anyone who knows how to do?

First off, what language are you using? Because there are NO problems whatsoever with the HD Fonts in MCPatcher.
Second, are you sure you're using the latest version of MCPatcher? That might be another problem. If not, then simply delete your old MCPatcher.exe and download a new one off the forum. If that still doesn't work, then I recommend trying OptiFine.
Third, are you selecting "Custom Colors" In regard of the textures in MCPatcher?
Fourth, do you know any mods that might be conflicting with MCPatcher? I don't use MCPatcher, I use OptiFine which is much more picky with compatability, and I have Modloader, Zombe Modpack, TMI, and Rei's Minimap and they all work fluently with Glimmar's Steampunk tex pack.

I have a question about the mod TPs. if I have changed my block IDs will the mod pack still work? will it still texture all my blocks? because some of my blocks aren't retextured, and i was wondering if it was because i changed the block IDs or because of incomplete mod texture packs.

The mod retextures don't care about the Block IDs, but not all of the mods have been completely retextured yet. Which ones are not showing up as complete? I know that Railcraft and IndustrialCraft still have a fair bit of work to do, and there are some odds and ends on the others (not to mention that most of the retextures are using the MC 1.1 version of the mods, which may have changed significantly since then). Hope this helps!

Selected Language: German - I've tried english (UK and Pirate) and the German specific Letters (ä, ö, ü, ß) are there, on the Sign's.

If you type German letters on signs, they'll be there regardless of what language you have it set to. Changing the language will not automatically translate signs for you.

And for the images, I don't believe that you can directly upload them, you'll need to post them on a hosting service such as ImageShack or PhotoBucket.

I haven't had the time. I'm just now settling down after finals, still trying to figure out what I'll be doing this summer. I haven't heard from any of the other volunteers recently either, so… not sure what's going on. I'll try to figure things out in the next couple weeks tho…

On the Optifine topic...I have a really good computer, Quad core, etc...and I had to use the lowest Optifine choice they had. No idea why, but that's the one that works. It all looks fine though :)

I'm not going to even try to figure it out, I'm just happy it works :) I just spent 3 hours getting a bunch of mods working together the right way...stupid id's...but I lost Tropicraft because of it :( But Glimmar's still looks fine! Now to make an airship, assuming I installed the zeppelin/train mod right...lol
