*Survival using the great mod by Silver_Weasel found here.

In the Year of 1337, an apocalypse hit Minecraftia. The sky became dark, the grass died away, forest fires became rampant, and the rivers ran dry. The only ones left alive are the creatures of the night, and one human, trying to survive.

That human is me.

THE WASTELANDER'S GUIDE TO SURVIVAL

Entry One 1/1/1338:

I have awoken from a daze today, under the ruins of what used to be a home; my skin parched as the sun bore down against me.

I need shelter. I need to survive.

Posted Image

I decide to move to another ruins nearby, I could never survive in the open.

I find some goods left by the previous owners, and wood nearby to craft tools.

These ruins were not going to support me during the night, so I ventured to repair the house.

Finding coal on the surface of a cliff nearby, I inhabit this new home- to discover an amazing find:

Posted Image

Water! In the basement of my new home!

I quickly lit the area, to avoid danger later tonight.

Posted Image

But night came quick, I had to return. Fast.

Posted Image

I crafted a makeshift weapon with the days resources, it gave me a slight comfort from the creatures of the night.

Until the morning, I bid you farewell.

--END OF ENTRY--

Entry Two 2/1/1338:

The beasts came, but I survived the night. Just.

I began to explore my surroundings now, having to fight the stragglers from the night as I walked. On the horizon I saw another ruin, mossy with age- but on exploration realised it was empty. I managed to remove some of the mossy stone for later use though.

Posted Image

I headed home, and found several bones on the way- giving me an idea.

Grinding up the bones I created a dust, which when scattered over the landscape 'purified' it; I had a purpose now. I would make this world pure again. I would beat the wastes.

Posted Image

I had hope, I had a vision of the future.

But for now- I must brave another night.

--END OF ENTRY--

Entry Three 3/1/1338

Last night, they came. I barely survived with my life- th- the horrors encountered have made even my sanity seem uncertain. What would my future hold - am I destined to become... one of them?

But no, these thoughts I mustn't have; the future seems brighter already. Animals have begun to return from their hiding, drawn to the fresh grass nearby my home- There is hope now. I have meat and leather for basic survival, and the company of noises other than those at night.

The damage is incredible- I must be more careful from now.

Posted Image

I need more resources in order to stay alive- so I have begun to carve into the nearby cliff. I can only mine in the day now though, I cannot bring myself to leave the door into those, inhumane screams at night.

Posted Image

I wonder if there is anyone else out there- anyone else alive.

--END OF ENTRY--

Entry Four 4/1/1338

Today I felt for the first time, claustrophobic within my own walls. I needed to get out of this place, at least for a while.

I packed my tools and managed to move myself one foot at a time, out the door. I climbed atop my roof- searching for a better vantage point- and saw a mighty peak nearby. I would be able to see for miles from there- possibly find other survivors.

Posted Image

I set off, a goal in mind to keep the thoughts of danger out. The sun bore at me from the sky, and the ground seemed to pulse it back. This was no world anymore; this was hell.

As I dragged myself up the final heave of the summit, reward struck. A tree trunk stood there ready to harvest- and the view showed me all of the land nearby. I sat atop this hill for hours just gazing, searching for other life. But alas, no. Not today. Maybe not ever.

Posted Image

I lost track of the time, they would be coming out. I had to run. I set off at a jog, hearing what sounded like the moans of the dead behind me. Don't be silly. The people were dead. Not turned savage. Dead.

I made it home safely though, and crawled into my makeshift bed.

It's very interesting, actually. Wish you'd make the descriptions a bit longer, perhaps a paragraph.

You said that all the grass died, but the last one not only disagree as it disproves your conclusions.

Just read entry 4. :) So I take it you like the new textures? :)

I'm editing them even more and combining some from Doku's other textures to better fit the Apocalypse mood. I'll post a link for you when I'm done if you're interested!
