Get it here!
Current version: 1.0.0

Description
After being annoyed by Minecraft's fullscreen feature for years (a few days), I decided to make an application which allows you to run Minecraft in borderless windowed mode (-windowed -noborder in Source games anyone?).

With this application you will have the joy of alt-tabbing out of the game without crashing or leaving fullscreen mode and having an easy way to exit the game.

Requirements
  • A Windows OS (Yes, XP is fine)
  • NET. Framework 4 Client Profile (If you still don't have it, you can download it here.)
  • Minecraft

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: The application won't start! What do I do?
A: You don't have NET. Framework 4 Client Profile installed, check the previous section on where to get it.

Q: I managed to break it! :D
A: Send me a PM with the error log on the forums and I'll take a look.

Q: Great, now I can't exit the game. Thanks a lot.
A: Hold down the ESC key for 1 second.

Q: I changed the location of my Minecraft launcher and now the application crashes!
A: This is a known problem. Open up regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Minecraft Borders, delete the LauncherPath value and restart the application.

Notes
This first release focuses only on the main program function - running the game in borderless windowed mode, try not to report any bugs related to the Configuration dialog or launcher detection - those will be fixed in the next release. :)

Oh, did I mention this is still in beta? :P

Sorry, but kind of useless to me... also minecraft ran maximized consumes more resources than in full screen... This is just my opinion, no trolling or anything intended...

Not wanting to be a troll, but I think you missed the fullscreen-mode in Minecraft.
Press F11 and it will do exactly what you want.

Edit: nvm... should have looked at the logo more closely ;)

i think you missed what this mod does, it makes it a borderless window fullscreen without actually alt-tabbing

I see, I see.
I did miss that (never used F11, so didn't know it'd fall back to windowed mode)

I really hope this is how Minecraft works in the final release.

Its strange, but also amazing how much more this makes minecraft feel like an actual game when the border is gone.

I wish I knew how to code this. I tried another method that only Maximizes the Minecraft Window.

Didn't think that comment would be too popular.

Funny because like alot of unpopular comments in this "community"...

It's totally correct XD

Well, Minecraft is in its final release, and it still isn't like that.

Excellent I have been trying to find something like this for ages, while running dual monitors it makes it easy to be able to scroll cursor from one screen to the other.

Have a diamond block!

If you have minecraft running with this and you start FRAPS, it crashes with 'Fraps error 8" "something bad happened with directX 9"

If you have FRAPS running and you start minecraft with this, it works fine.

I really like this mod!  I know what people say like "just press f11!" and such but minecraft's default fullscreen option doesn't work for me on my laptop.  This mod did fix my problem in a way so thanks so much :D <3

At first I thought you made something to play minecraft the way I do:

Windowed without a border :-) (Windowed Fullscreen haha)
Looks just awesome!
It always automatically resizes it to this size when I open Minecraft, exactly 1900x800 pixels

But I never even tried playing fullscreen, so I don't know what that would look like!

(Those are 2 monitors in portrait with one monitor in landscape, in case anyone wonders why the screenshot looks so weird :))
