VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE 3 HOUR TEXTURE PACK NOW! Scroll down for previews!

Are you in the mood for a little challenge? If so, I have a really good one! :)

The rules are very simple, you are supposed to make a texture pack (terrain is prior to the others) in 3 hours or less. You are allowed to plan and try out techniques before starting the countdown, you can also take breaks whenever you want. You can use this to set the time. When the time ends you post your results in this thread (additional screenshots are welcome). When enough people have submitted their work there will be held a little contest in which people can vote for their favorite.

If you decide to take the challenge PLEASE leave a comment about it. I would like to know how many that are working on it.

How to release it HERE:
Make a .zip file and put the terrain in there.
Make a pack.png and pack.txt, those can be made after the 3 hours.
You can also add a background.png in a GUI folder if you want.
Upload the .zip on media fire and post it here.
If you notice any bugs (misplaced textures etc) you can fix them.

Fix a download link, some screenshots (upload them at imageshack and copy the album, upload at size 800x 600) and PM the links to me. And I'll add them to the OP.

If you manage to make a decent terrain you can always start your own thread with your texture pack and continue to edit it for how long time you want. This is a very nice way to way to get people going with a texture pack and maybe see some new talents!

Sounds fun? :)

I could try, but it would be very simple.
Then again, I have had the idea of a pack based on the emphasis of vibrant colours.

I shall think.

Do that, I do expect a lot of simple packs, but hey, I kind of like them. :)

I don't know, I want more people first before we set a date, but tell people about it if you want so we can get this a little more noticed. :) Maybe next week?

If you're in the mood for a challenge now you can check out this.

You can't make good pixel art in such a short amount of time.

It's as much as you feel for doing, but the terrain is prior to the others.

I did not ask for perfect textures, when the contest/challenge is done the can decide if they want to improve it to a full texture pack. Who knows how many good packs that can come out of this! :)

The goal is doing the best you can as fast as you can. I have a good amount of textures done in just under an hour. Going to work on more later. It's possible to do good. You just need to be fast. =3
And glad to see that I'm seen as an idol to somebody. =)

Oh, and I am thinking of making this in to an actual pack once it's done. I like how it looks so far, actually. =)

I'll join. I actually had an idea in mind for the texture pack, but I have a couple more too. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to compile the different textures into a single pack, so I'll probably just use someone else's texture pack, changing everything back to the defaults and then changing it accordingly before re-saving it. Or something like that. :P
