I have been working on this project for some time.
This is a giant 120x120x60 dome underground, above it is a lake.
I made this by mining down starting at the top and slowly working my way down to the bottom so i did not need any scaffolding other then a single ladder pillar to the top so i could get out.
This was a mine job that by my calculation i mined 700,000 blocks.
I do not know the count of diamond and iron etc.

Wow that looks amazing, but didn't you come across any dungeons / cave systems along the way?

yeah it would be nice if gold had a purpose but lamps aren't made out of gold so that doesn't make any sense, which most of the rest of the game does.

A few days ago while playing on peaceful I was harvesting my crops at night while on fire.

I took about a week and a half of working on it every night.
I did come across several caves and two dungeons and a lot of lava I walled them all off with stone as to not mare the beautiful walls.
This is going to be the Under City  oh ya and the center pillar does have a spiral stair case in the middle.

Right ow all the torches are just to keep mobs from spawning in there and so i can see the floor

Well crap. The biggest thing I've made was a giant forge extending from the adminium up to 10 spaces below the surface. It's about as big as that central pillar in your dome, but surrounded by only like 5 spaces on all sides. By the time I was finished I was bored to godamn tears. Can't imagine how you managed this without loosing your sanity.

Thats some dedication right there... I'm currently working on a Biosphere (a sphere made of glass 40 blocks in radius suspended in the air and half filled with fauna) and i'm finding it hard to pull together the energy to harvest all that sand for it. 500 internets for effort good sir!

P.s the torch array actually makes it look like the inside of some sort of futuristic spaceship.

Are you leaving it like that or doing something inside of it? Either way I see it looking amazing.

I'm going to be the devils advocate here and call shenanigans. I don't believe you can manually mine out a dome made from perfectly concentric circles that easily. The shape of it makes a perfectly formed hemisphere - that would take a computer program to generate the blue prints at very least and honestly it looks like it was just carved out using omen or mce or whatever the kids use these days.

My apologies if it is truly legit.
