What is it?:
This adventure map is an open world map with puzzles, fighting, exploring, and best of all: story. This map has about 7 locations and takes up the area that an in game map does. The map uses in game maps to traverse the area making it much more immersive to play. The Into The Farlands map is one of those adventure maps that includes notes that enhance the story and give instruction to the player. It also comes with a custom texture pack that I compiled from others I have used full credits are given in the readme, this is also where you will find the rules and installation instruction along with another more elegantly worded synopsis. Thank you for checking this out and I strongly advise playing it and giving me feedback. I also welcome lets plays of the map which gives you views as well as me.
I appreciate the feedback it really helps me judge how the map was and lets me know how to go about creating my next map using what I have learned from constructing this one. Keep it coming if you can.
I like the "this is clay" screenshot. Very thoughtful of you.
I've created a video with feedback to show you a few things I liked and didn't like.
The way I 'rate' maps... all individual ratings start at 2 and as I play, they can go up or down.
Creativity, just squeaked up from a 1 to a 2. You had a few functions, but just barely utilized them (digging clay, redstone). The theme was standard.
Detail was something like a 2.5, but I gave you the 3 for effort.
Story. You lost a point on character motivation and narration. It was consistent, but not very engaging.
Difficulty was almost "too easy" (a 1) except for the lava and somewhat unforgiving jumping puzzles. But I am glad you didn't have another one or I would considered taking points for having too many of the same puzzle.
Progression. You kept a '2' because of the multi-step puzzle and having 'closure' back at the starting. You also had a checkpoint system and multiple sets of gear (but just barely). I think the walking in between keys was a little bland - maybe give us a blank map instead so at least we have something to 'keep track of' while walking.

I would like to point out that the answer to the riddle was: Darkness and that would have taken you down the dark pathway. next was the puzzle that you just skipped by blowing it up: only some of those pressure plates activated tnt and the dispensers were left over from another puzzle I tried to use. The markers were meant to show you the tower early on so you would know what you were moving towards although because the note was out of sequence you ignored it. And yes that was a Yogscast refrence... oh and there was more clay involved.
