Me and my Friends want to start up a Space RP server, I have seen completely empty worlds before.
Examples such as voxelbox deep-space, And besides emptying a map is there any other way to get a completely blank world (WITHOUT BEDROCK!!!).

Any response would be appreciated!

As for without bedrock - most likely not.
You know what happens if you fall down one of those extremely rare gaps in the bedrock in beta?
...
The client crashes and you'll probably corrupt (loose) your game save.
Bedrock is there for a reason :P

Like the post? Hit the green "+" on the bottom right. There might be cake.

???

It does nothing of the sort. When you fall, after you get to ~-40=y you take 2H damage/second. I use it all the time with breakable bedrock mod on smp for sneak attax!!! (with fly)

But if it was COMPLETELY blank, how would you be able to build without any first block to build on? :P

Begin with a single block of dirt, and build a planet. On your own.

Wow! Thanks for the Replies!
As for how i would build i use voxelsniper (bukkit plugin), it can make a block at any specified distance. so if the map was completely blank you just say you want a block 5 meters(blocks) away from you and there you go you have your starting point!

I guess i could just clear the sand from that map but i was wondering if it was possible to just get a blank map without bedrock(fly mod to fly and not die).

Voxel sniper also allows me to clear bedrock so if there are any infinitly only bedrock maps that would be better.

Thanks again for the Replies guys!

If you use McEdit, this is easily achievable, select everything you want gone, and then press delete blcoks. They're many tutorials un youtube, if you need help.
