This is a continuation of my Halo REACH UNSC Frigate in Minecraft.


The first version got a lot of positive feed-back, and was even featured on halo.bungie.org and Joystiq. But, there were those who said that it needed improvement. This thread is a nod towards them.

70% of the ship remains the same. The most drastically reworked part of it is the rear. I reworked it to look more like the real-deal. In my opinion, it looks tons better.

The pictures speak for themselves. Let me know what you think.

(P.S... I will not be providing a download for the new and updated frigate because the map is 74.82mb. My internet is simply too slow for uploading something that big.)

I'll also be making some changes to the bottom to make it look more like the real deal.

Scooted the loading bay back a bit. Made it more square and larger. I'll be making it longer/wider later.

Thanks! I'll work on uploading the save one day so you can explore it for yourself.

BTW, with the changes I've made to it, about 25 total hours have been spent on building this. Put together block by block, all by myself. No MCEdit. Only mod used was single-player commands.

It's not quite 1:1 scale, it's something around 3/4 scale. It is by no means small, that's for sure. Using 1 Block = 1 meter, this thing would be nearly two-football fields long.

Thanks! I've been experimenting with texture packs and so far this one looks the best. It's a 64x64. Do you have any texture packs you'd like to see this thing in? I'm open to suggestions!

well i have only 32x32 skins and no scifi ones.. but maybe get some textures from HALO or something. Or look at the Enterprise Project. He has a sweet texture pack.

I've got a ton of Halo 2 textures for map editing. Maybe I'll make a Halo texture pack up the road.

Hi garified. Very nice frigate you have there.
#1: have you tried just uploading an MCedit Schematic? its much smaller than a minecraft world file.
#2: if you do upload it, could i display it in my texture pack? I already used your old one, but this looks much better.
