whenever i play minecraft it seems to 'crash' whenever i close it, well, according to my desktop. I keep getting these little log files (well i say little...) that seem to, over time, fill my desktop. Is there any way i could fix this? should i redownload the launcher, or just wait it out?
i have recently downloaded the 'openALL32.dll' file installer, will this have anything to do with it?

could it be because my computer has a habit to blue screen every now and then?

Ok...how about me?
I update java [50.000 times after i reinstalled it]
I delete all the error logs [not that they bug me or anything]

What should i do to make it work?Since you seem to know it all.

i dont know *everything*..... just a lot

but as for u woody, i would say have u got rid of the 'removed' graphics card drivers? as they could be causing a strop fest inside ur computer. n have u got the latest drivers for ur onboard graphics card?

It's OBVIOUSLY a problem with Notch's code and not your computer.

Just shut up and stop freaking out about it.

Nobody's freaking out.
We are just pointing this out as a problem.

I'm having the same problem. Updating my drivers on my video card right now... Otherwise this game runs smoothly and without much problem for me.

Place minecraft.exe in a folder and make a shortcut to it on your desktop, the errors wont show there anymore.

Idea.

Open notepad.
Paste script at the bottom (without the ------- lines):
Save it as a .bat file.

Every time you run this batch file, it will find every "hs_error_pid[number].log" file in the folder. If it finds any, it will ask you, if you want to delete them.
For this to work, the batch file her should be placed in the same folder as the Minecraft.exe.

If you do not want it to ask you before deleting, remove all the red lines!

----------------------------------
@echo off

if exist hs_err_pid*.log goto exist
goto notexist
exit

:notexist
cls
echo.
echo No error logs found!
echo.
pause
exit

:exist
cls
echo.
echo Logs found!
echo.

set choice=
set /p choice=Would you like to delete them? (Press Y or N followed by the Enter/Return key)
ECHO.
if not '%choice%'=='' set choice=%choice:~0,1%

if '%choice%'=='Y' goto yes
if '%choice%'=='y' goto yes
if '%choice%'=='N' goto no
if '%choice%'=='n' goto no
goto choice

:yes
cls

del hs_err_pid*.log

these are apparently the dlls are had open at the time. they may have caused the issue.
OpenAl is a graphics library - i've never seen it in this type of error. try uninstalling video drivers and getting updated ones from the manufacturers site
the jvm.dll is java, if you haven't update that
the others are system dlls and are most likely fine.

Also, ich hab jetzt mal ALLE (!) mir bekannten Fehlerursachen, dass Minecraft nicht funktioniert, hier aufgelistet:

- Java neu installieren (momentan 6.0 update 24) --> 32 bit hier http://www.chip.de/d... ... 14576.html
                                                                           --> 64 bit hier http://www.chip.de/d... ... 24883.html

- Minecraft neu aufsetzen (Client neu runterladen, Windows-Taste + R drücken & "%appdata%" eingeben, ".minecraft" ordner löschen, neu installieren)

- In-Game (in Minecraft) auf "Optionen" dann:
                                     "Grafics" auf "Fast"                                "Render Distance" auf "Normal" oder noch besser: "Short"
                                     "Limit Framerate" auf "On"                    "3D Anaglyph" auf "Off"
                                     "View Bobbing" auf "On"                        "Smooth Lighting" auf "Off"

It's OBVIOUSLY a problem with Notch's code and not your computer.

Nobody's freaking out.

Hey, I get the same error except mine occurs randomly throughout gameplay. Generally within the first 5 minutes.
I changed a few things to stop it though. I made it so my fog setting is on normal instead of far, turned off bobbing and put the frame rate limit on. It seemed to stop the errors for me.

Maybe it will work for you too.

----------------------------------
@echo off

if exist hs_err_pid*.log goto exist
goto notexist
exit

:notexist
cls
echo.
echo No error logs found!
echo.
pause
exit

:exist
cls
echo.
echo Logs found!
echo.

set choice=
set /p choice=Would you like to delete them? (Press Y or N followed by the Enter/Return key)
ECHO.
if not '%choice%'=='' set choice=%choice:~0,1%

if '%choice%'=='Y' goto yes
if '%choice%'=='y' goto yes
if '%choice%'=='N' goto no
if '%choice%'=='n' goto no
goto choice

:yes
cls

del hs_err_pid*.log
exit

:no
cls
echo.
echo No error logs deleted!
echo.
pause
exit

----------------------------------

Actually, I have found out that using a bat-file script, this is it " java -Xmx768M -Xms256M -jar minecraft.exe ", it could fix it. Also, how do you save as a bat file?  :Diamond:
