if its apocalyptic, you should try to create like ruins or destroyed buildings with some chests containing stuff like wood or tools to help us survive. thats more fun. like savaging material more than mining or gathering them

Hows is This, For SMP it could be always spawning a Hugh number of mobs that kill everyone and players will have to work together to build defences against the mobs.

The more Explosive Creepers sound like a good idea.

BTW the Modloader Method you looking for is called Populatechunk but i don't know how to use it even.I talked to many modders who tryed to do world generation but they even dont know how to use it.Only The Maker of Modloader Himself who Made Biosphere knows how to use that method.Ask Risugami for help since noone even made a tutorial on that method.

Oasis will come, it's just on the backend of stuff I need to do(as in I won't get to it for a few days probably). I have plans for how to add in saplings(first thing is to change dungeon loot so they can spawn, along with wool and meat. As well, seeds can be found (killing dead shrubs sometimes drops seeds). I will be adding mutated versions of the normal mobs that drop their items(perhaps different versions of the item?)

Yep, consider bonemeal changing dirt to grass to be confirmed for the next version.

I think it just takes too much out of minecraft.

Add some kind of a survival bunker (covered with iron blocks or something and it has some small lakes and some chests with useful stuff mostly Porkchops) but i recommend this to be VERY rare maybe like 2% because this idea is basically a hope for easy survival, why not add some kind of an underground biome (forests, plains and more (exept tundra savanna shrubland and dessert but its your choice if you want to add these 4) this underground biome should be more Rarer because its an another hope for an easy survival maybe like 0.5%.And maybe add some wasteland mobs such as lizards, and a cayote or anything that suites your style.

add some kind of a block of shrub [transparent] some kind of a formed shrub thing, i forgot what its called.

im looking forward for this mod to be popular, keep this baby up! ;)

Wow, lots of posts. I love the suggestions guys, keep them coming.

In terms of progress, I finished the bonemeal addon(bonemeal used on dirt turns it into grass), the link is in the first post, right under the main download link. I know people can get fed up with adf.ly so because its such a small mod it has a direct mediafire link.

Mutated mobs are coming, zombies are now faster and creepers have twice the explosion power. Gonna look into skeletons and spiders next. I'm not sure how I'll texture them, as they're just replacements for the original mobs. Do you guys think I should attempt to get new textures or just keep the originals?

Yep, I understand that completely. I was thinking of what mod I could make and I decided I had two options, try and just add new blocks or mobs, or attempt to make something that would 'stand out' and could give you a completely different feel while playing. Don't get me wrong, I love pistons, mo creatures, dragons, etc, but I felt like my mod would get lost among them.

Thank you for the long post, I love to read these. How passive mob loot will come is still up in the air, but underground 'bunkers' similiar to dungeons without the mobspawners(probably) are something I've been thinking about for the past few days. These could include saplings and seeds and other things. In terms of new mobs, I'm creating replacements for the usual mobs that are stronger. But wasteland mobs like lizards would be cool(and would be my first foray into modeling in Minecraft).

Like an underground oasis? That would be cool, I might combine this with the bunkers to make something truly epic.

If you could, make this compatble with Finite water to make even more of a survival challange, and Survivalism. That REALLY adds a challange. ive been having problems aquiring food and water in the wasteland. i made a myself a cheap little closed ocean near my house (INVedit ftw) but i was looking forwords to thsoe streams. also some way of mutated food? like skags or somthing. but if you do make compatable with Finite water be careful of the streams, if the water spreads too far itll evaporate.

I played it, for me to survive in it was easy
advice
you could create monsters who spawn in day lots of them and when you kill one of them they drop blood or meat and you can eat it to restore heal.
and maybe you need to cook the bloods because it is from zombies and it is poisonous
and stronger monsters.
and to get to Wasteland you need to create portal from Soul Sand

And this is cool mod
