Challenge Description:

The Main Challenge: The main point of this challenge is to survive with nothing else but what you brought with you, and what you find in your home. Once you find yourself underwater, and in an air pocket (Man made or natural) the challenge truly begins. But beforehand, You have one day to gather all the resources you need, and keep in mind, that after this day you are not allowed to rise to the surface again to gather more materials. Keep in mind that you CAN leave your air pocket, so long as you dont rise up for air!

Game "Modes" Game modes are simply different ways to play this challenge. Keep in mind, if you dont want to play in the ways that I explain, you dont have to! Its your Minecraft game!

1) Creative Mode: Much like Minecrafts Creative mode, in this mode you play on Peaceful with nothing in mind but build a good looking base underwater.
2) Survival Mode: This mode is played on NORMAL! I know some people are afraid of dying, so they play on easy, but living underwater is a lot different then living on land. Mobs dont spawn everywhere, they spawn only in caves, or unlit areas that you made.
3) Hardcore Mode: This mode is played on HARD! If you die even just one single time, the challenge is lost, and you must start over again.

Optional Challenges: These challenges are made to be optional, fun challenges that you can aim to complete.

1) Create a functioning wheat farm.
2) Create a proper forest.
3) Reach diamond.
4) Create an enemy mob farm.
5) Create a friendly mob farm.
6) Create a Waterfall.
7) Enclose your base in a glass dome.
8) Tame a wolf.
9) Create a portal to the Nether.
10) Create an indoor underwater pool.
11) Reach Bedrock.
12) Be successful by succeeding at successfully growing a single tree. Success!
13) Post a picture of your base here!
14) Catch a fish from underwater!
15) Have fun.
16) Dont Die.

Rules

1. Start this challenge in a new world
2. You are allowed to use tools that you made before going underwater.
3. You are not allowed to build above water, but you can build to the surface.
4. The Nether is allowed, aslong as the actual portal is underwater.
Note: I cannot make anyone follow these rules, so if you do not agree with any of them, you dont have to follow them.

Suggested Mods

The following mods are used to make your underwater stay a bit more fun. Therefor i strongly suggest them.

1. I strongly suggest downloading the Corral Reef and the Scuba Diving mod to brighten up the ocean with bright and nice looking things on the bottom of the ocean. You can find these mods here: http://www.minecraft...treesalot-more/

2. The FiniteLiquid mod makes water more realistic and adds a few cool tools to enhance your gameplay: http://www.minecraft...nsors-rain-etc/

Yeah, its not exactly a hard challenge, but I like to see what people create!
It will also be cool to see how people create underwater forests and such

I started my underwater base.

Because I have no sense of day/night, I'll go in events.

Cycle 1:
I made a mushroom farm, wheat farm, tree farm, made a furnace and I am drilling to level 16.
Got more iron.

Wow. Im surprised how well you did on your first day. My first day:

A Furnace
30 Torches
10 Coal
10 Sticks
5 Seeds

Cycle 2:
Dug down to level 35 when ran out of torches
Smelted 10 iron, made bucket, infinate water pool, then finished wheat farm by tilling and adding water. Planted 12 seeds.
Planted 1 mushroom in mushroom farm, waiting for tree to grow.
Added some snow block "walls" to the main room to give it style.

What I did was ran around to every fucking cave I could see and stripped them, punched the crap out of every living animal, and every block that I saw that I didnt have 1 of, I mined.

Actually, I decided to start over, due to the fact that i totally ballz'd it up.

Hit level 16.
Started construction on my mob farm ( )
Found a diamond...
Went back up to make a iron pick, stopped by my tree farm and begged the trees to grow.

Im at the part right now as to expanding base, I have lots of crap, every renewable resource above ground I have, everything. I even started grass growing RIGHT when I created the world, so I even have a mob farm down there :3

There is no way you have a fully functional mob farm already.

As of now I have everything set up down here, but my base doesnt have any sand nearby, So It may be awhile before I create the glass dome overhead.

Nope, once you go down, you cannot go back up. But, sense there is no way I can stop you, you can surface if you really want to

Hmmm. What you want to do is find some skeletons and take their bones for bonemeal.
