New pipes for Buildcraft 1.6.6.3.2: Download

Adds 3 new pipes to Buildcraft.

Insertion Pipe
Posted Image
Insertion Pipes given the choice between putting a item in the pipe in to an inventory (A chest or a furnace) and passing it along to another pipe, the Insertion Pipe will always try to add the item to the inventory. This pipe is very useful for feedback loops as it forces the item to go in to the last machine if it can.

Extraction Pipe
Posted Image
Extraction Pipe is the opposite of the Insertion Pipe. If the pipe can choose between an inventory and another pipe the pipe will always go with the next pipe. Also this pipe behaves the same as a wood pipe where it will pull items out of an inventory if the pipe has redstone applied to it. This pipe is useful for tight spaces where you do not want a pipe to accidentally fill a chest or machine.

Bounce Pipe
Posted Image
This pipe will cause whatever enters the pipe to come back out the way it came unless the pipe is powered, then it behaves as a normal pipe.

Installation Instructions
After you have successfully installed Buildcraft, copy the zip file to your mods folder.

Bounce pipe will allow items to pass if current is applied.

Let me be the first one to say it: GREAT!

I can't try it right now because i'm at work, but i'm very excited when i think of my industrial craft production line, because getting the items to go INTO the damn ***** machine is always a pain....
I'm from Germany, so don't look too hard for mistakes ;)

Wow this is very very nice, and the biggest way to know that this is very good is that the maker of buildcraft even said it was, hope this gets put into the real buildcraft, I won't use it yet until later updates so there won't be any bugs, if there is none, just wanna be cautious. But still awesome!

I'm having trouble of thinking of a use for the Anti-insertion pipe, however if you made it so that they also worked like wooden pipes and as such where able to pull from furnaces and chests, it would allow for compact arrays of furnaces to put a bunch of anti-insertion pipes to pull from them with confidence that the stuff will never go back into the furnace.

Even better would be if you could have them prefer to go towards the closest non anti insertion pipe along the possible paths. (aka stone, iron, etc)

Can't think of a use for the bounce pipe... But the other two sound great. This is going on the wiki.

Thanks, I like that idea, I will change it.

The bounce pipe is useful to act as a pipe terminator, so instead of falling out it will come back way it came. It behaves just like a iron pipe with the output set to the direction the pipe came from, however this will bounce on all sides instead of one side.

I will be releasing a new version tonight that does not require the modding of the texture file.

Hello :D.

This additions look very nice but i got a question. Will these work with the smp version of buildcraft and can i change the blockid's? I stil have to see if i get it working on my server to begin with but this would surely be something i want :D!

If you don't see a server mod in the OP then it's not, of course.

Very cool mod, by the way.

It'd be nice if these pipes would only connect to a max of 2 other pipes and then any number of chests or furnaces on top of that. If that was the case you could stack lines of furnaces within only 3 blacks tall without the fuel and material lines messing with eachother

I love the insertion pipes. Now I have pipes that don't try to put my ores in the chest that's full. Yay for intelligent pipes!

Any chance of getting a buildcraft pipe that won't overflow items onto the ground when a item trys to enter a furnace with a full stack in inventory?

(ie, reflect them back into the pipe system)

Powering an iron pipe so it switches won't work for you?

That might make an interesting addition to the bounce pipe.

Suggestion: When you power a bounce pipe, it stops bouncing items.

I'm using buildcraft pipes and core,TMI, SSP commands,Modloader,ModloaderMP,HDtexture fix(before downloading other mods). I have installed everything as instructed, but it just gives me a black screen and crashes without a crash report. Is this not compatible with any of my mods for some reason? Plz fix this, whatever the problem is. I need it to finish my automatic forge!!
