Does minecraft use asp(.net)

Minecraft uses Java.
I think ASP is only used for making webpages.

because my webhost said i can use my website to host my server just it can't be asp(.net)

That means that the server doesn't support ASP for hosting websites.
But what does this have to do with minecraft?

EDIT: you mean you're trying to run a minecraft server from a webhost?

Ah well I wouldn't know how to do that. It doesn't have anything to do with ASP though.
Try asking on the server forums.
