Finally got around to updating it! I recall making a few minor tweaks and changing the recipe and texture for the Reactor! I will fill in the details in the thread soon!
01.19.2011
I have been very busy and unable to update UraniumMod to 1.1 for now! I apologize, please try g3org1's UraniumMod version in the meantime, it's not very much like mine, but is loosely based off of it, and at least is compatible for 1.1. Otherwise, stay on the Minecraft 1.0.0 patch or don't use UraniumMod until I update it. You can see g3org1's thread here. Here are all the recipes:
It's finals week at my high school! I can't spend much time modding until winter break, which is only... less than 3 days away! At that time I can devote a lot of time to cramming in some new and exciting things in. I've got a whole list of ideas! Also, I am probably going to start working on other mods! As this mod was way more successful than I ever hoped, I'm excited to start to work on other mods! Oh, and if you have any ideas for UraniumMod, try to get them in to me by Saturday morning, so I can add them in UraniumMod 1.0.0d! Alright, goodnight! <3

Thanks to the lovely administrator, Basic, I was able to get my display name changed to book! Thank you very much! So, fans and followers, it's still me!

Description
Greetings, miners!
UraniumMod adds a new ore to freshly generated chunks, Uranium Ore! Uranium Ore is a low-level radioactive ore that will damage you upon contanct, taking two hearts! When mined, Uranium Ore drops two to three Uranium Dust, which is a very valuable and useful item. You can craft a highly radioactive block, a Uranium Block, by crafting nine Uranium Dust! Uranium Blocks are highly dangerous, and glow very brightly. Upon contact, they take five hearts! It's a very useful tool for protecting your haven from mobs!
A Nuclear Reactor can be crafted by putting cobblestone in the formation of a regular furnace, and adding a Uranium Dust in the middle. It is powered by either Uranium Dust (one reaction) or Radioactive Coal (three reactions). A Nuclear Reactor can turn Diamonds into Uranium Gems, Coal into Radioactive Coal, and can also turn Cobblestone into Obsidian! Be careful though! Reactors sometimes give off Nuclear Waste, a toxic waste that can spread very quickly, and deal damage to you or other mobs who contact it! Always monitor your Reactors, or let the stuff grow for fun!
Uranium Gems can be used to craft a Uranium Pickaxe, Uranium Shovel, or Uranium Axe, the best tools in the game! Alternatively or additionally, they can be used to craft a Uranium Sword, which is also the best of its kind! If you combine the Pickaxe, Shovel and Axe, you can make a Paxel, a tool that does the job of all three! If you want a really long lasting hoe, make a Uranium Hoe! They can also be used to craft Nuclear Bombs, which are more powerful than TNT, or Uranium Grenades, which cause explosions upon impact! Watch out though, nuclear explosions may cause Mutants to cover your lands!
Mutants are a fast, glowing, powerful mob which will drop mutated flesh, the DNA within known as Mutigen. You can throw this Mutigen at certain mobs to mutate them into much scarier mobs. Good for mob drop farming! Mutigen can also be crafted.
So far, this is what constitutes UraniumMod, but I really, honestly, want your input on how I can improve this mod or add other uses for Uranium! I really do want your input!

Contribute
You can contribute to UraniumMod by submitting textures. If you feel an item, block, or mob needs to be re-textured, respond to this thread with the re-textured image and a brief explanation of why you think it is better suited. If you would like to contribute in a more materialistic way, please donate to keep me motivated with programming. Or, you can use the banners at the bottom of this post to spread the word of UraniumMod.
Install
If you like the features of the latest UraniumMod, or would like to install it for the first time, you need to extract the .class and .png files from UraniumMod.zip. Then you need to use an archiver (WinRAR, 7zip, etc.) to open minecraft.jar (located in "/%AppData%/.minecraft/bin/" for Windows, "~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/" for Mac, or your "~/.minecraft/bin/" for most Linux operating systems. Drag the .class files and uraniumTextures folder into the .jar. The .class files should be in directly, and the textures should stay in the folder in the .jar. You will also need to have ModLoader (by Risugami) installed through this method for the mod to work. For updating, the new .class and .png files will overwrite the old ones, so the update process is that simple! For more information on this, check the readme.txt!
Enjoy the mod! Please, if you have feedback or need help, sound off below! If you like or want to support UraniumMod, please paste one of these banners in your signature:
