Hey,
just recently, I completely wiped my computer clean. Before I wiped it, Minecraft would work. Now it doesn't and gives me this message.

  Bad video card drivers!
      -----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

DISCLAIMER: This is a pre-written set of instructions that are copied and pasted because they're so common. Yes, I'm too lazy to type these out a thousand times over.

----- Step 1 -----

Press http://j.mp/cq8QLR + R

This will launch the Run window.

Type dxdiag into the text area and press Enter

----- Step 2 -----

Windows may ask about WHQL driver signing, just click Yes

Navigate to the Display tab at the top of large window that appears.

----- Step 3 -----

Make note of the MANUFACTURER and NAME fields in the panel on the left hand side of the window.

Make note of the DATE and MODEL (if applicable) fields in the panel on the right hand side of the window.

----- Step 4 -----

Post those bit of information here and wait patiently for someone to respond.

You can't just install "any old driver". Each driver is specific to a certain make and model of card. Even if DxDiag doesn't display any data, you still need to know both the manufacturer and model of your graphics card.

Don't jump to conclusions about things you don't know.

Infact I'll suspect you'll do more damage just guessing rather than being PATIENT and LISTENING. After all, you came here to SUPPORT for a REASON right? I'll assume that REASON is that you DONT know what you're doing and need HELP.

I don't know why I'm getting myself worked up, if someone doesn't have the decency to listen to the person who they asked help from, they deserve to fuck up on their own terms.

These SHOULD work, but you might want to look into Windows 2000 specific alternatives (none were available from the driver selector but not everything is listed)

I don't know your OS so I'll just point you to where you can find them, here.

Pocoyo, click the "Find your drivers" link I posted first in my post above.

XtR3Me, I can't find your card's drivers on the official site. This means it's either very old or you provided the wrong info. If the info is correct, then it's unlikely your card will be able to run Minecraft.

I am still having the same problem with the download version. When I tried to download the drivers from the intel site it said they were not validated for my computer and that I needed to get the driver from my computers manufacturer. The browser version is fine, but unfortunately it has disappeared at the moment.

Name: Intel® 82945G Express Chipset Family
Manufacturer: Intel Corporation

It's an HP Compaq running XP Professional.
Any ideas?
