Notch has just tweeted that 1.6 will be released tomorrow morning, presumably Sweden time.
He also mentioned that testing included some people from IRC, which should bring a more robust release.1.6 has many bug fixes, as well as some long awaited additions such as working nether, maps, and hatches.
As soon as 1.6 is released, we'll be sure to bring you a full update, so keep watching!

so when notch means early Thursday morning, does it mean like 8:00am, or 12:00pm, for me at least 12:00pm is early because I don't ussually wake up intill 2:00pm( lazy school graduate with no job)
